Technical Estimator

• Lead proposal development by analyzing client-provided drawings, specifications, and communications to define accurate scopes of work. • Build client relationships by gathering project details, clarifying expectations, and ensuring a seamless proposal experience. • Collaborate with internal teams including sales, estimating, and operations to align scope, pricing, and execution strategies. • Define technical scope elements such as chemistries, volumes, labor, equipment needs, and project timelines for each bid. • Prepare accurate, timely proposals that meet Quality Management System (QMS) standards and align with internal protocols. • Support pricing strategy by collecting and analyzing cost data for labor, materials, rentals, and equipment. • Coordinate formal bid reviews by preparing drafts, participating in review meetings, and finalizing proposals for submission. • Perform on-site job walks to evaluate job feasibility and verify technical requirements when needed. • Contribute to continuous improvement by refining pricing tools, maintaining accurate CRM data, and helping build scalable estimating processes. • Support project transitions by participating in handoffs to operations and ensuring clear documentation of scope and pricing assumptions. • Maintain compliance with export control regulations and internal quality standards during all phases of proposal development.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of estimating, technical sales support, or related experience—especially in industrial services, mechanical contracting, or chemical cleaning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, or relevant field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, CRM systems, and data analysis
  • Attention to detail with a mindset for risk mitigation and client satisfaction
  • Ability to manage multiple bids, prioritize under deadlines, and operate independently
