Role Description At AIS, we are seeking a talented individual to join as an Infrastructure Architect. This role involves leading the architecture, standardization, and enterprise design of conference room collaboration solutions built on Microsoft Teams Rooms. - Lead the architecture and technical design of Microsoft Teams Rooms solutions across various room types. - Define enterprise standards for room types, hardware footprints, peripheral selections, integration patterns, and support models. - Develop scalable reference architectures for AV/VTC-enabled conference spaces. - Evaluate and recommend Microsoft Teams Rooms-certified and compatible AV/VTC hardware platforms. - Establish design principles and decision frameworks for room acoustics and participant experience. - Architect the end-to-end Microsoft Teams Rooms ecosystem. - Provide technical leadership for implementation and deployment efforts. - Review floor plans and architectural drawings to validate room solutions. - Develop and maintain architecture documents and governance artifacts. - Serve as the escalation point for complex AV/VTC and Teams Rooms design challenges. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, Audiovisual Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 8+ years of experience in AV, VTC, unified communications, collaboration engineering, or related technical architecture roles. - 3+ years of direct experience architecting and deploying Microsoft Teams Rooms solutions in enterprise environments. - Deep knowledge of enterprise AV system design and user experience optimization. - Demonstrated experience defining hardware standards and room technology footprints. - Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms design and lifecycle management. - Experience developing architectural standards and implementation guidance for enterprise collaboration platforms. - Strong understanding of infrastructure dependencies such as structured cabling and network readiness. Requirements - Experience leading large-scale Microsoft Teams Rooms programs across multiple offices or campuses. - Familiarity with Teams Admin Center and operational governance. - Experience with major AV/VTC vendors and ecosystems. - Understanding of facilities coordination and installation vendor management. - Microsoft, AVIXA, CTS, CTS-D, or related collaboration/AV certifications are preferred.
