Corporate Development Associate

• Identify and evaluate new strategic acquisition and investment opportunities. • Contribute to deal process management, including coordination with legal, accounting, tax and third-party diligence advisors. • Conduct commercial, financial and operational due diligence workstreams with internal stakeholders and external advisors. • Support detailed financial modeling, valuation and other relevant diligence analyses. • Lead diligence discussions with external advisors and target management teams, in collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. • Prepare Board/executive-level materials, including transaction memos (e.g., merits and considerations). • Manage data rooms, diligence trackers and transaction process timelines. • Perform competitive analyses of current and adjacent markets, other ad-hoc strategic analyses such as whitespace / TAM analyses, buy vs. build, and scenario analyses. • Develop deep understanding of Cotiviti’s business units and near adjacent markets.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related degree.
- 2-4+ years of total experience, including experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development experience.
- Experience leading or supporting M&A transactions from diligence through closing.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills (e.g., leverage buyouts, accretion / dilution analysis, analysis at various prices, comparable company analysis, discounted cashflow, revenue growth opportunity analyses).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to synthesize data and concepts to support executive level communications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
