• Design and document business processes and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness. • Work with the project team members on all phases of initiatives. • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. • Collaborate with all functional business units to achieve strategic, tactical and project goals. • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs. • Monitor milestone completion and track all phases of the project product/service life cycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts. • Conduct project meetings, meet with project team(s) regularly to review project deliverable and deadlines, and meet with appropriate personnel for periodic reviews of prototypes and final products. • Consult with business units in developing user acceptance test plans and procedures for end user testing, ensuring that all tests are conducted and documented according to the standards agreed upon by the business unit and I.T. • Facilitate meetings for all levels of the organization. • Provide status updates and reporting on assigned projects. • Support business transition and help establish change. • Track and analyze business unit trends and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the department to create new or maximize existing initiatives based on data analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field such as Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, etc. or 2 - 3 years’ experience in related field.
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in related field.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Detail-oriented with effective follow-through and the ability to multi-task.
  • A collaborative team mindset with proficiency in Access, Excel, and Outlook.
  • SQL, Visio, and Project experience is a plus.

Role Description NCPG is seeking a Senior Finance & Operations Manager to oversee the organization’s financial management and day-to-day operational functions. This role plays a key part in strengthening operational infrastructure as NCPG continues to expand its national impact. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Sr. Finance & Operations Manager oversees outsourced accounting and HR vendors, manages financial processes, supports grant compliance, and ensures administrative systems are optimized for growth and sustainability. This senior-level role partners closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to ensure strong financial stewardship, operational efficiency, and compliance in support of NCPG’s mission. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who brings both strategic insight and practical execution across finance, operations, and organizational infrastructure. This position is fully remote within the United States and requires about 15% travel (two in-person events annually, and a minimum of 2 trips for Board of Directors Meetings). Responsibilities Include: - Finance & Accounting - Manage all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for leadership and the Board of Directors in partnership with the part-time outsourced accounting vendor. - Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management. - Coordinate annual audit and serve as primary liaison with external accounting providers, auditors, and financial consultants. - Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, grant requirements, and regulatory obligations. - Operations & Administration - Oversee organizational operations, policies, and internal controls to ensure efficiency and compliance. - Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and operational systems. - Support grant administration and reporting in collaboration with program staff. - Maintain and improve financial and operational processes, documentation, and systems. - Human Resources Administration - Serve as primary internal HR administrator in coordination with external HR consulting partners. - Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes. - Working with third-party vendors, oversee payroll processing, benefits, and retirement plan administration, including annual benefit renewals and audit requirements. - Maintain and update NCPG’s employee handbook and all employee policies in partnership with third-party consultants. - Manage and administer all paid and unpaid leave and related compliance documentation. - Strategic & Leadership Support - Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director on financial and operational strategy. - Support Board committees as needed, including finance and audit-related activities. - Provide financial analysis and insights to support organizational planning and decision-making.
