This role goes beyond analysis to deliver actionable recommendations, lead program strategy and performance, make underwriting decisions, and drive initiatives from problem identification through execution—while maintaining full accountability and aligning outcomes at both program and portfolio levels. As a Consultant, you'll be responsible for: - Reviewing and analyzing numerous, highly complex lines of business. - Underwriting individual risk for acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms and conditions. - Leading in the development and integration of new and existing programs. - Identifying new program opportunities. - Participating in making reinsurance decisions. - Assisting in developing and implementing loss control and risk management strategies. - Collaborating between business partners for development and implementation of program specific tools. - Communicating program updates to program managers and other business liaisons. - Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal business liaisons, external program managers, and brokers. - Training and mentoring underwriting team members. Qualifications - Extensive E&S property underwriting experience in program/MGA environments across domestic and international portfolios. - Ability to identify trends, assess portfolio performance, and drive strategic underwriting decisions. - Expertise in complex property classes, such as real estate, renewable energy, builders’ risk, inland marine, industrial, and CAT-exposed risks. - Strong foundation in property underwriting fundamentals, such as risk analysis, coverage design, pricing, policy structure, and audit. Requirements - Education: Undergraduate studies with focus in Finance, Accounting Economics, and/or Risk Management; Graduate degree preferred. - Experience: Typically five or more years related experience as a Professional, Financial and/or Specialty lines underwriter; Program leadership experience in professional lines of business preferred. - Demonstrated knowledge of Professional, Financial, and/or Specialty lines underwriting policies, practices and procedures. - Strong understanding of financial documents, financial analysis, investments, market conditions essential. - Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal/external business partners at all levels. - Ability to lead, train, motivate employees and set work priorities. - Project and process management skills. Role Description Reed & Mackay is looking for Corporate Travel Consultants to join its Operations Team. The main role of a Corporate Travel Consultant is to build relationships and understand the needs of our clients while delivering a ‘high-touch’ service that saves clients time and drives down their total cost of travel. We are seeking Corporate Travel Consultant across all time zones in the US. - Provide a dedicated, consistently high level of service to all travelers & travel bookers tailored to their individual requirements, with a desire to exceed client expectation at all times by going the extra mile. - Effectively manage your workload to meet all deadlines as required, internally or client driven. - Demonstrate an excellent understanding of various account processes and policies, and can adapt quickly to any necessary changes to these, as and when they arise. - Work directly with the client’s Global Travel Manager, for guidance on policy matters that require escalation. - Pre-trip approval knowledge will be an advantage. - Demonstrate proactive thinking and provide a consultative approach to all travel requests providing an end to end solution for all clients. - Advise proactively on relevant Passport and Visa requirements and procedures for all destinations. - Apply Quality Control procedures and processes at all times in line with ISO27001 (data security certification) and PCI compliance. - Recommend and procure ancillary products as required i.e. car rental, ferry, etc. - Good knowledge of high speed domestic and intercontinental rail options required.
