Job Description

Product Engineer

S&P Global

• Design and build proof-of-concept applications that demonstrate GenAI capabilities and business value to stakeholders across the organization • Create comprehensive architecture specifications and technical designs for GenAI solutions using AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and other enterprise AI platforms • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand use cases, translate requirements into technical solutions, and communicate complex AI concepts in accessible terms • Partner with product teams during ideation phases to identify opportunities for GenAI integration and design feasible solution approaches • Develop within corporate AWS environments and infosec requirements, ensuring POC designs can transition smoothly to production teams • Establish and document best practices, design patterns, and reusable components for GenAI solution development • Stay current on emerging GenAI technologies and evaluate their potential application within our enterprise context

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on software development experience, with demonstrated ability to build functional applications from concept to working prototype
  • Practical experience with GenAI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, or similar)
  • Strong grasp of solution architecture principles, with ability to design systems that balance innovation with enterprise constraints
  • Excellent communication skills—you can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Comfort working in the "messy middle" of innovation: rapid prototyping, iterating based on feedback, and knowing when a POC is "done enough"
  • Enthusiasm for staying hands-on with code while also thinking strategically about product direction.

Benefits

  • Health & Wellness: Health care coverage designed for the mind and body.
  • Flexible Downtime: Generous time off helps keep you energized for your time on.
  • Continuous Learning: Access a wealth of resources to grow your career and learn valuable new skills.
  • Invest in Your Future: Secure your financial future through competitive pay, retirement planning, a continuing education program with a company-matched student loan contribution, and financial wellness programs.
  • Family Friendly Perks: It’s not just about you. S&P Global has perks for your partners and little ones, too, with some best-in class benefits for families.
  • Beyond the Basics: From retail discounts to referral incentive awards—small perks can make a big difference.
