Staff Software Engineer – AI, Product Development

Foxen

• Design and build Foxen's next-generation AI-powered product line from the ground up • Partner with Product to define technical feasibility, architecture, and implementation strategy for AI-driven features • Establish best practices for responsible AI development, including model selection, evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement • Build intelligent systems that leverage our existing platform while creating entirely new capabilities • Set the standard for engineering excellence in leveraging AI across the organization through exemplary code, documentation, and technical decision-making • Mentor and elevate engineers at all levels, accelerating their growth and expanding their technical capabilities • Champion engineering best practices, including automated testing, observability, security, and operational excellence • Advise and support various internal AI driven efforts across Foxen • Build cross-functional alignment between Engineering, Product, and Business teams on complex initiatives

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience building production systems at scale
  • Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud architecture (Azure strongly preferred), and microservices patterns
  • Proven track record of prototyping and successfully shipping 0-to-1 products or major features that drove significant business outcomes
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, RAG architectures, or AI agent frameworks
  • Strong proficiency in C#, SQL Server and .NET ecosystem, with full-stack expertise across modern web applications
  • Expert-level understanding of API design, data modeling, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and building highly reliable systems with excellent operational characteristics
  • Deep knowledge of security best practices, particularly in regulated industries or handling sensitive data
  • Excellence in technical communication—able to articulate complex tradeoffs clearly in writing and presentations

Senior Software Engineer The Senior Software Engineer provides hands-on software design, development, mentoring, and testing skills to complete projects.
