Job Description: - By joining our team, you will be given the opportunity to be a part of a leading business in Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange sales to corporate clients across our fixed income, banking, and currency businesses. The Team: - The Derivatives Risk Solutions Americas team is a collection of salespeople and structurers dedicated to advising global corporations and financial sponsors on interest rate and foreign exchange products. The team works with global corporate and financial sponsor treasury teams to recommend and execute FX and rates products. Responsibilities - Successful candidates will provide support to senior sales team in the structuring and marketing of interest rate & currency derivative strategies to the team’s clients - You will perform company and market research to identify current trends & opportunities - You’ll be responsible for modeling, structuring, and pricing derivative products - You will help create market commentary on interest rates and foreign exchange markets Qualifications: - Ideal candidate will have a BA in Finance, Business, Economics, Math, Statistics or other related major - You’ll demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills - You’ll have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint - You’ll be adaptable, and work both independently and as part of a team - If you’re familiar with Bloomberg, that’s a plus The expected base salary ranges from $100,000- $150,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Role Description Participates in any or all aspects of the claim submission to third party carriers, incorporating industry best practices to ensure all state and federal billing guidelines and regulations are satisfied. Conducts root cause analysis of claim edits to determine corrective action to facilitate timely submission of claims and enhance the clean claim rate. - Analyzes claim edits and conducts root cause analysis to resolve the edit, identifying opportunities for workflow process improvement and claim logic implementation to enhance the clean claim rate. - Monitors claim rejections from insurance carriers, taking the corrective action necessary to resubmit the claim, escalating rejection trends to department leadership for the creation or modification of claim edits, claim rules, or for escalation to the provider rep. - Maintains working knowledge of all regulatory claim form requirements, coding rules, LVHN protocols, as well as being proficient in all payer specific billing requirements. - Participates in claim rebill projects to address updates to items such as payer contract modifications, CDM updates, correction to charge errors, and coding version changes. - Maintains a positive and productive relationship with other LVHN Revenue Cycle Departments, instituting best practices to reinforce workflow standardization and optimize productivity. - Processes late or corrected charges according to billing guidelines for payers, submitting late replacement claims, corrected claims, or processing late charge write-offs. - Compiles documentation necessary for submission of paper claims: claim attachments, investigation of payer address, claim number; resolves eligibility situations, when necessary. Qualifications - High School Diploma/GED - 2 years of professional or facility billing and/or collections for all major third party payers or work experience in healthcare related field. - Knowledge of third party reimbursement. - Knowledge of insurance contracts and regulations. - Must maintain high-level knowledge of claim submission requirements. - Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. - Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Successful completion of DOE and Revenue Cycle Education within 3 months of hire. Role Description The Senior Technical Advisor – Disaster Risk Financing (DRF) provides high-level technical leadership on disaster risk financing instruments, focusing on macro and meso-level climate insurance, risk layering, catastrophe bond structuring, and climate hazard model development. The role includes: - A. Technical Advisory Services on Disaster Risk Financing Instruments - Coordinate the technical design, structuring, and refinement of sovereign and meso-level risk transfer instruments, including macro drought insurance products, risk layering mechanisms, and trigger-based contingency financing tools. - Coordinate the design, testing, and refinement of new or expanded DRF instruments, including: - Expansion and optimization of the catastrophe insurance layer in Africa. - Meso-level insurance products in collaboration with the Inclusive Risk Financing Team. - New macro drought insurance instruments for high-risk contexts (e.g., Afghanistan). - Provide technical recommendations on the development of first-of-its-kind financing instruments, including a catastrophe bond for drought. - Advise WFP and partners on the development and evaluation of data analytics and risk modeling. - Coordinate the policy placement process for WFP / PRGR. - Initiate and oversee technical research and studies that advance modeling, index design, and DRF operationalization. - B. Strategic Advisory Support to Country Offices and Governments - Support technical engagement with Country Offices (COs) and Government Technical Working Groups. - Provide technical advice on the benefits, limitations, and design implications of different risk transfer products. - Guide countries through risk financing strategy development. - Provide technical training for COs, government counterparts, and internal focal points on DRF, risk transfer, and index methodologies. - C. Market and Partner Engagement - Represent WFP in technical negotiations with product developers, insurers, reinsurers, brokers, modeling firms, and catastrophe bond structurers. - Seek and manage advisory services from third parties on particular products. - Provide WFP’s technical contributions in relevant DRF global fora. Deliverables at the end of the contract include: - High quality risk transfer instruments designed or refined. - Technical briefing notes and model assessments for each country’s DRF instrument(s). - Refined and expanded Africa catastrophe insurance layer and documentation of the expansion approach. - At least one new risk transfer product developed (or advanced to design stage) for a specific region/country. - Strengthened technical capacities of COs and partner government teams. Qualifications - Education: Advanced University degree in risk modelling, engineering, economics, environmental sciences, climate science, agricultural sciences, geosciences, financial engineering, or related field. - Experience: - At least 11 years of progressively responsible experience in disaster risk financing, macro/meso level insurance, catastrophe modelling, climate risk management or related technical fields. - Demonstrated experience in structuring risk transfer instruments, including sovereign insurance or catastrophe bonds. - Proven experience working with technical service providers, modelling firms, financial institutions, brokers, reinsurers/insurers. - Knowledge & Skills: - Strong expertise in climate hazard modelling, index design, and financial structuring of DRF instruments. - Ability to lead high level technical discussions and advise senior partners. - Strong coordination and communication skills across diverse stakeholders. - Excellent analytical writing and technical reporting skills. - Languages: Fluency in English (Level C). Intermediate proficiency (Level B) in another UN language is desirable; French is an asset.
