Remote Raven

Role Description Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Paralegal to provide direct support to the firm's onshore paralegal team and supervising attorneys. This role is embedded in the commercial litigation and commercial collections departments — two of the firm's core practice areas — and will be responsible for a broad range of paralegal, legal administrative, and case support functions. This is a substantive legal support role that requires someone with a strong understanding of civil litigation procedures, excellent written and organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of matters simultaneously. The remote paralegal will work in close coordination with the onshore paralegal team to ensure that attorneys have the support they need to deliver excellent results for their clients. Key Responsibilities - Commercial Litigation Support - Assist the onshore paralegal team with all phases of commercial litigation, from pre-suit through trial and appeal. - Draft, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents including complaints, answers, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and stipulations. - Prepare and organize exhibits, binders, and supporting documentation for hearings, depositions, and trial. - Monitor case deadlines and docketing to ensure no filing or response date is missed. - Commercial Collections Support - Support the commercial collections department in managing a high-volume portfolio of collection matters. - Draft and prepare collection-related pleadings including complaints, default judgment motions, writs of garnishment, and writs of execution. - Track the status of active collection cases from filing through judgment and post-judgment enforcement. - Prepare and process correspondence to debtors, opposing parties, and courts as directed. - Assist with the preparation and organization of documentation related to accounts receivable, judgments, and payment records. - Coordinate with clients and internal team members on collection status updates and case activity. - Case Management & Docketing - Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records across all assigned matters. - Track court deadlines, statute of limitations dates, hearing dates, and response deadlines using the firm's docketing and case management systems. - Flag upcoming deadlines to the supervising attorney and onshore paralegal team with sufficient lead time. - Organize and maintain digital case files in a consistent, retrievable format. - Discovery Support - Assist with the preparation and organization of discovery including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and responses. - Review and organize document productions and assist with privilege log preparation. - Coordinate with e-discovery vendors or internal teams for document review and production as needed. - Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and witness outlines as directed. - Administrative & Team Support - Provide reliable, organized support to the onshore paralegal and attorney teams to reduce administrative burden and improve workflow efficiency. - Handle client communication and correspondence as directed and within defined scope. - Assist with intake of new matters including opening files, conflict checks, and initial documentation. - Perform other paralegal and legal administrative tasks as assigned by supervising attorneys or the onshore paralegal team. Qualifications - 2 or more years of paralegal experience in a litigation setting — commercial litigation or collections experience is strongly preferred. - Experience drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence. - Familiarity with commercial collections processes including post-judgment enforcement is a significant advantage. - Excellent written communication skills — your documents are accurate, well-organized, and require minimal revision. - High attention to detail and strong organizational skills — you manage deadline-driven work across multiple matters without error. - Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining close coordination with an onshore team. Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting a commercial litigation or business litigation practice at a law firm. - Experience with case management and docketing software. - Background in commercial collections, debt collection law, or post-judgment enforcement proceedings. Benefits - This is a full time role. - Up to $8/hr. - 100% Remote. Job Title: Corporate Paralegal Location: McLean, VA Experience: 4+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time, Hybrid Role Pixalate is hiring a Corporate Paralegal to join our lean in-house legal team and work directly with the legal team. This is a hands-on role spanning three core areas: commercial contract management, corporate compliance, and IP/patent administration. If you have strong contract and compliance instincts, enjoy building systems and processes, and thrive in a fast-moving tech environment — this role is for you. Prior in-house or SaaS company experience is a plus, but not a dealbreaker for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Contract Management - Maintain Pixalate’s contract repository in Salesforce — ensuring MSAs, Service Orders, amendments, and NDAs are organized and audit-ready. - Track critical contract dates (renewal windows, NTC deadlines, fee escalations) and alert internal stakeholders proactively. - Manage the annual MST update workflow: coordinating notice campaigns, tracking client responses, and maintaining a clean audit trail. - Support redline reviews by summarizing client-proposed changes and flagging material deviations for attorney review. - Draft routine amendments, NDAs, vendor agreements, and renewal notices under attorney supervision. - Partner with sales, finance, and customer success to keep contract data accurate and in sync with billing records. Corporate Compliance - Maintain good standing for all Pixalate legal entities across U.S. and international jurisdictions (annual reports, franchise tax, registered agent management). - Manage foreign qualification filings and coordinate with registered agents (e.g., CT Corporation, CSC) as needed. - Maintain corporate records including minute books, resolutions, and officer/director registers. - Support internal governance processes: board consents, officer certifications, and entity-level documents. - Monitor regulatory developments relevant to Pixalate’s business (privacy, ad-tech, data processing) and flag key updates. IP & Patent Administration - Maintain Pixalate’s IP docket — tracking patents (pending and granted), trademarks, and copyrights with all prosecution deadlines. - Coordinate with outside IP counsel on prosecution, office action responses, and maintenance fee payments. - Organize IP assignment agreements, inventor declarations, and chain-of-title documentation. - Support IP due diligence preparation for investor, financing, and M&A purposes. Qualifications - 4+ years of paralegal experience in a corporate law firm, in-house legal department, or legal operations role. SaaS or tech industry experience is a plus, not a requirement. - Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, or a bachelor’s degree with equivalent qualifying experience. - Demonstrated experience managing commercial contracts end-to-end, including SaaS or subscription-based agreements. - Hands-on experience with Salesforce or a comparable contract management platform. - Ability to independently manage high-volume notice campaigns with accuracy and on deadline. - Exposure to multi-jurisdictional corporate entity compliance (Secretary of State filings, annual reports, registered agent coordination). - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word (tracked changes, redlining), Excel, and document management systems. - Experience with IP or patent portfolio administration and working with outside IP counsel is a plus. - Familiarity with AI-assisted legal workflows (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for drafting, summarization, and research is a plus. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, finance, and leadership.
