• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and executive presentations • Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities • Build, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards and reporting tools • Utilize QuickBooks and related financial software to monitor reporting accuracy and financial performance • Use Google Analytics, Gemini Analytics, and related tools to evaluate operational performance metrics • Interpret data related to profitability, expenses, revenue, workforce utilization, and operational efficiency • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting processes • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and departmental teams • Evaluate financial models and reporting metrics to support organizational strategy • Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy of financial and operational data • Identify opportunities for reporting automation and process improvement • Maintain compliance with organizational policies and reporting standards • Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, business intelligence, or related analytical roles
- Must live in, or near, Charleston, South Carolina.
- Experience using QuickBooks, Power BI, Google Analytics, Gemini Analytics, or similar accounting and analytics platforms
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a remote environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Nice to Have:
- Experience within healthcare staffing or healthcare operations
- Experience with KPI tracking, forecasting, and operational analytics
- Experience with reporting automation and system integrations
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or related professional certification

Role Description The Financial Aid Advisor is responsible for providing phone-based financial aid support and counseling services to students attending American Public University System (APUS). This role functions in a call center type of environment and is heavily focused on providing a high level of customer service.
