Main Responsibilities - Scientific Engagement: Conduct one-on-one and group interactions with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare stakeholders, sharing medical/scientific information about products and disease management within regulatory guidelines. - Stakeholder Mapping & Strategy: Identify, profile, and prioritize ~50 stakeholders using the Scientific Engagement Model; develop territory and individual engagement plans aligned with Medical Affairs strategy. - Relationship Building: Establish long-term peer relationships with KOLs, payers, and HCPs by demonstrating strong clinical knowledge and articulating the medical value of Sanofi products. - Congress & Event Presence: Attend scientific congresses, symposia, and organize educational meetings or advisory boards to establish Sanofi's medical presence in the field. - Medical Information Support: Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information on products and disease states; support speaker training for continued scientific education. - Insight Generation: Gather feedback from stakeholder interactions, critically evaluate published studies, and report insights that inform Sanofi's medical strategies, messages, and product development. - Internal Collaboration: Share scientific information and external insights with Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Regulatory, and other internal teams while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies. - Evidence Generation Support: Identify clinical trial sites, monitor disease epidemiology, support protocol development, and facilitate investigator-sponsored study (ISS) submissions through approved processes. - Healthcare Policy Awareness: Understand healthcare policies, guidelines, and clinical practices at local, state, and national levels as they relate to the therapeutic area. - Independent Operation & Compliance: Work remotely with minimal supervision, travel nationally/internationally as needed, and maintain strict regulatory boundaries between non-promotional medical activities and commercial operations. Qualifications - Advanced degree in a technical, scientific or medical field (MD, PhD, Pharm D) preferred. - Must reside in territory. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, Medical Science Liaison role, or relevant clinical practice. Additional years of experience are an asset. MSL experience strongly preferred. - Candidates with relevant Immunology clinical experience consisting of Rheumatology clinical environment may be considered. - Clear understanding of medical practice, clinical decision making, and healthcare systems related to patient care. - Ability to interpret key scientific data and translate this information to meet educational and research needs. - Demonstrated ability to address educational and research needs through delivery of cutting edge scientific/evidenced based data. - Understand the design and execution of research studies. - Exemplary communication and presentation skills. - Experience in working on multi-disciplinary teams and managing significant volume of projects. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a complete background check.
