Role Description As a Manager Analytics III - Data Science & Machine Learning for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will: - Manage and lead teams delivering artificial intelligence solutions in the digital space for John Deere. - Work with stakeholders on driving the vision of the team and the area of practice at the company. - Define, quantify, and share Key Performance Indicators that define successful customer outcomes. - Mine John Deere's extensive data resources for new insights and solutions. - Propose and develop data science models to address critical customer needs, using a wide range of machine learning methodologies. - Build reusable features that describe meaningful facets of customer problems. - Conduct statistical tests to ensure that desired outcomes are achieved. - Work closely with the Data Engineering team to deploy algorithms to production. 15-20% domestic travel and 5-10% international travel required to visit factories, present research, manage team, and visit customers. Can live anywhere in the U.S. 100% remote work allowed. Qualifications - Any amount of experience in demonstrating algorithmic knowledge and technical skills to execute projects in the domain of data science and operations research including tools and languages like machine learning models, operations research models, python, SQL, or tableau. - Any amount of experience in providing technical coaching, mentoring, and direction to team members on the data science/operations research projects. - Any amount of experience in being accountable for the successful delivery and communication of progress for projects within the domain of Data Science and Operations Research. - Any amount of experience in working with stakeholders on the establishment of project priorities and measurement of outcomes undertaken for data science or operations research projects. - Any amount of experience in developing and maintaining a long-term vision of at least 12-18 months for the functional area covering data science and operations research projects to be worked on. - Any amount of experience in being accountable for maintaining and executing on an Intellectual Property strategy for the functional area. Requirements - Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field plus any amount of related experience. - OR Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field plus 2 years of related experience.
