• Business Partnership & Translation: Partner closely with business stakeholders to capture data requirements and business questions, translating them into effective, data-driven Power BI reports and interactive dashboards. • Insight Generation & Visualization: Design and develop reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards that encourage user self-sufficiency, deliver actionable insights, and adhere to modern UI/UX best practices. • Advanced Development: Apply expertise in Power BI development to create cutting-edge visualizations, carefully crafted reports, and performance-driven scorecards using interactive and advanced techniques. • Data Integration & Quality: Perform Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) operations, integrating data from disparate sources while ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data used for reporting. • Data Shaping: Utilize Power Query to efficiently shape, clean, and transform raw, complex datasets into optimal, usable data models. • Database Optimization: Leverage SQL Server expertise to design, optimize, and maintain underlying database structures, ensuring efficient data storage and rapid retrieval for reporting. • Performance Tuning: Proactively monitor and enhance the performance of Power BI solutions by optimizing queries, managing data refresh schedules, and continually improving the overall user experience.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a STEM field is strongly preferred
  • A Microsoft Power BI Certification is highly valued.
  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Power BI Engineer or in a similar Business Intelligence role, evidenced by a robust portfolio of successful, high-impact dashboards and reports.
  • Proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing BI reports and dashboards, coupled with deep knowledge of Power BI setup, configuration, and best practices.
  • Extensive practical experience across the Microsoft BI Stack, including mastery of SQL, Power Query, DAX, and M language.
  • Ability to effectively document, design, and model complex data solutions and clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential, with demonstrated skill in delivering professional user training and support across a global organization.
  • Highly customer-focused with a professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proven ability to work autonomously, effectively managing and prioritizing workload.
  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., Health Canada, FDA) is a definite asset.
