Engineering Manager – Core Platform
A.Team
• Own the roadmap and delivery for Assemble's core platform capabilities • Build scalable infrastructure including data pipelines, knowledge management, agent orchestration, and enterprise integrations • Drive architecture decisions that balance immediate delivery needs with long-term platform scalability • Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance at enterprise scale • Establish and enforce engineering standards, development practices, and code quality across the organization • Lead technical design reviews and architecture discussions • Build an AI-native team—incorporate AI into engineering workflows and practices • Reduce technical debt while maintaining delivery velocity • Create documentation and knowledge sharing practices • Build CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and developer tooling • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of platform engineers • Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations • Make hiring decisions and participate in technical interviews • Build a high-trust, high-performance engineering culture
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in engineering management
- Strong technical background in Python, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and distributed systems
- Experience building platforms, developer tools, or internal infrastructure
- Deep understanding of modern software architecture, CI/CD, and engineering best practices
- Experience establishing and implementing AI best practices
- Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Track record of shipping high-quality software and improving engineering velocity
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across teams

This is a hybrid role combining hands-on engineering with strategic leadership, responsible for ensuring Beghou’s multi-cloud infrastructure — across AWS and Azure — is secure, scalable, and operationally excellent. The successful candidate will define technical direction, lead a team of cloud engineers, and collaborate with architecture, security, and product delivery teams to maintain the infrastructure that supports our clients’ most critical systems. We'll Trust you to: Platform Strategy & Architecture Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for Beghou’s internal cloud environments that support client-facing applications, APIs, and analytics workloads.
