Epic Beaker Consultant – AP/CP Specialist

- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Epic Beaker AP/CP tickets, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and timely resolution. - Address end-user questions, resolve build-related issues, and provide high-tier operational support. - Meet or exceed established weekly ticket resolution goals to maintain system health and user satisfaction. - Maintain and optimize current Epic Beaker build structures. - Capitalize on opportunities to assist with Test Builds, validation, and implementation. - Manage and refine Beaker Workqueues, Outreach modules, and device/instrumentation interfaces. - Analyze current ticket trends to identify systemic issues and drive continuous process improvements. - Author, update, and maintain comprehensive technical and end-user documentation to streamline future support. - Assist in prepping the Beaker environment to support upcoming organizational projects and upgrades.

Job Requirements

  • Epic Beaker Certification (AP and/or CP) with deep build and maintenance experience.
  • Several years of hands-on experience supporting Epic Beaker in a live hospital or laboratory environment.
  • Proven track record with Beaker Workqueues, Outreach, and Instrument integration/interfaces.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on workflow optimization and process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and productively in a fully remote environment.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience creating and executing comprehensive test scripts for Beaker builds.
  • Excellent communication skills for documenting technical processes and interfacing with laboratory stakeholders.

The Federation of American Scientists is seeking an experienced, part-time Senior Advisor, Wildfire to join theLands and Waters Program on our growingClimate and Environment team for a 6-month contract. The Senior Advisor will provide support and expertise to grow FAS’s work building wildfire resilience at the state and regional level through policy innovation and creative collaborations. Ourwildfire resilience program works to build a more fire-resilient nation through policy development and analysis (especially in partnership with experts and communities), capacity building, and issue education. The Senior Advisor will report to the Senior Manager, Lands and Waters.
