Role Description Theoria Technical College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses across the Early Childhood Education Associate of Science (EEAS) degree program and the ECE/CDA Certificate program. Each course is a 3-unit, 5-week asynchronous offering delivered through Orbund. Qualifications - For Associate-of-Science-level EEAS coursework: - Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child and Family Studies, Early Childhood Special Education, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited U.S. institution; OR - Master's degree in Education, Human Development, Psychology, or related field with at least 18 graduate semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development coursework. - For ECE/CDA Certificate-level coursework: - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field, AND - Active CDA Credential, California Child Development Permit, or equivalent state credential, AND - Minimum five years of direct early childhood practice or teacher-of-teachers experience. - All EEAS / ECE-CDA candidates must also have: - Demonstrated postsecondary teaching experience, preferably in an online or hybrid environment. - Working knowledge of NAEYC standards, the California ECE Foundations, or comparable national/state frameworks. - Reliable computer, internet, and home-office setup compatible with Orbund. - U.S. work authorization (employment eligibility documentation required at offer). - Mandated reporter training current within the past 24 months (or willingness to complete prior to first day of instruction). Preferred Qualifications - Doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related discipline. - Three or more years of online undergraduate teaching experience. - Direct practice experience in early childhood classrooms, family child care, or early intervention settings. - Active California Child Development Permit (Director or Site Supervisor level) or comparable credential. - Experience teaching trauma-informed, inclusive, or special-needs ECE content. - Bilingual capability (Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or other languages serving California ECE communities).
