• Oversee the strategic conduct of contentious litigation matters in civil and tax law, acting directly or by coordinating external law firms; • Monitor judicial proceedings and administrative procedures, ensuring the protection of the company’s interests, compliance with deadlines and technical quality of filings by tracking deadlines, reviewing pleadings and defining defense strategy, aligning defense positions with the law firm and company representatives prior to hearings, and coordinating with any witnesses; • Analyze and, when necessary, prepare management reports on judicial and administrative litigation; • Review matters and provide technical support to internal departments with a focus on mitigating liabilities and preventing disputes; • Advise the company’s internal clients as needed on legal issues, covering Corporate and Business Units; • Draft and review contracts and legal documents, including complex agreements for structured financial transactions, asset purchase and sale agreements, responses to inquiries, and judicial or extrajudicial notices, always in accordance with applicable law and relevant court rulings; • Prepare corporate documents such as meeting minutes, shareholders’ meeting minutes and partners’ meeting minutes; • Ensure the integrity of processes and the legal security of the organization; • Support brand management; • Contribute to decision-making in group negotiations that require legal backing by providing appropriate legal advice, ensuring that legal elements are supplied as essential input for negotiation decisions; • Represent the group in court, attending hearings and public bodies as necessary; • Serve as the technical lead for the area of practice by overseeing activities, providing guidance to the team, and interacting with the direct manager to contribute to process improvements and area development, aiming to achieve established targets; • Contribute to continuous improvement and ongoing optimization of area processes by reducing rework, streamlining procedures, providing necessary conditions for task execution, and participating in relevant courses and events; • Support the achievement of area targets, assist in critical analysis of results obtained, ensure compliance with the budget plan, and manage the company’s physical assets, information and documents.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent)
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in Tax Law
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in Civil Procedure
- Knowledge of the agribusiness sector (preferred).

Role Description This is an entry-level position ideal for a recently qualified lawyer (first or second state exam) with a strong interest in technology, commercial law, and the SaaS industry. You will be the first dedicated legal hire focused on contracts, working closely with the CRO and sales team to support the full commercial lifecycle — from initial customer negotiations through to signed agreements. - Draft, review, and negotiate customer contracts, including SaaS subscription agreements, master service agreements, data processing agreements (DPAs), and statements of work. - Maintain and continuously improve BeNeering's standard contract templates to reflect best practice for a SaaS provider. - Identify and flag legal risks in customer-proposed contract language, particularly around intellectual property, liability, data protection, and service levels. - Support the sales team with legal input during commercial negotiations, ensuring deals close efficiently without unnecessary legal risk. - Ensure BeNeering's contracts comply with applicable law, including GDPR, and reflect the realities of a SaaS delivery model. - Build and maintain a contract repository and develop internal processes for contract management. - Stay current on legal developments relevant to SaaS, AI, data protection, and procurement technology. Qualifications - First or second state exam (Erstes or Zweites Juristisches Staatsexamen) completed in Germany. - Strong academic background with an interest in commercial, technology, or IT law. - First exposure to contract law, IP law, or data protection through internships, university clinics, or the Referendariat. - Fluent in German and English. - Detail-oriented, pragmatic, and business-minded — you understand that legal work serves commercial goals. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you will have real ownership from day one. - Genuine interest in SaaS and B2B software.
