• As a Software Engineer, you would will be part of a 250+ people Tech organisation. • Each engineer is part of a squad focussing on a part of the product, reporting to a Team Lead or an Engineering Manager. • Each squad is made with all the skills needed to build features end to end in autonomy, you will be working daily with a product manager, a designer and software engineers. • As a Software Engineer you will take part of the discovery phase of the projects with the Product Manager and Designer to define the feature to build; then you will participate with other engineers to design the software architecture, build it, test it and release it to production. • The squad is also working on supporting customers using the features built by monitoring and fixing issues in production.

• Build, maintain and scale platform-level back-end services to enhance and serve our Data and AI capabilities for internal and external customers. • Leverage these Data and AI capabilities to build and ship new features within the core Arbor product suite. • Own the successful delivery of high-impact features, directly contributing to the advancement of Arbor products. • Drive the development and implementation of advanced tests for new and existing features, ensuring high test coverage and reliability standards. • Proactively identify, take ownership of, and resolve critical system bugs and issues using advanced problem-solving skills and comprehensive system knowledge. • Maintain high code quality standards through thorough, constructive code reviews, ensuring solutions are well-tested, scalable, and maintainable. • Produce well-architected, efficient, and scalable code by applying industry-leading design patterns and methodologies. • Create and maintain thorough technical documentation and diagrams that promote best practices and ensure clear communication. • Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, QA Engineer, and Product Manager to address feature requests. • Support the Engineering Manager with interviews, scrum ceremonies, and the implementation of strategies to improve and optimise product quality and lead time, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the development lifecycle and processes. • Support the Tech Lead in developing technical roadmap solution designs, identifying areas for improvement, prioritising, and executing technical debt reduction. • Act as a role model for technical excellence through code reviews, pair programming, and actively mentoring and coaching mid-level and junior engineers in best practices, fostering knowledge transfer within the team. • Actively lead and participate in tech talks, workshops, and team-based learning initiatives.

• Take part in all development aspects from design through production of a dynamic hybrid/cloud native product • Write high quality, testable and efficient code in Go and Typescript • Initiate and promote new ideas for continuous improvement of the product functionality • Work closely with other team members and mentor new team members

Role Description We are hiring a .NET Full Stack Developer to work as a forward-deployed engineer, embedding with product teams and portfolio companies to build new products and modernize established ones. You will write code across the full stack — backend services, APIs, data, and UI — and operate in an AI-first environment where the majority of code is produced through leading AI coding tools. This is a hands-on builder role. You'll ship features end-to-end, collaborate closely with senior and principal engineers, and grow into deeper architecture and product ownership over time. What You'll Do - Build, test, and deploy full-stack web applications using React, .NET Core (C#), and modern frameworks. - Design and maintain robust data layers, including relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, MongoDB). - Develop and optimize database objects — stored procedures, indexes, and queries — ensuring high performance and scalability. - Collaborate with product managers and design teams to translate complex domain workflows across organisation's regulated verticals into intuitive, efficient user experiences. - Implement, secure, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices hosted on Microsoft Azure. - Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using Azure DevOps. - Manage Azure services such as App Service, Containers, Functions, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Service Bus, and Application Insights. - Optimize front-end and back-end performance for scalability, reliability, and maintainability. - Write clean, well-structured, and testable code following industry best practices. - Participate in architecture planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives alongside senior and principal engineers. - Work AI-first, using Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or JetBrains AI as your primary day-to-day development tools. - Contribute to new product builds and modernization across organisation's six regulated industry verticals, plus special projects from Venture AI Labs — prototypes, applied experiments, and zero-to-one product bets. Qualifications - Strong .NET Core / C# full stack experience, including ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, and Entity Framework. - Solid React experience (TypeScript a plus) building modern, performant web UIs. - Strong SQL Server skills — schema design, stored procedures, indexes, and query optimization — plus working experience with NoSQL (MongoDB or similar). - Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, including App Service, Containers, Functions, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Service Bus, and Application Insights. - CI/CD with Azure DevOps — building pipelines, automated deployments, and release management. - Hands-on AI-first development experience with Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or JetBrains AI. - Python as a supporting technology is a strong plus. - Solid fundamentals in software design, testing, secure-by-default engineering, and observability. - Strong communication and ownership — comfortable in a remote, forward-deployed environment with shifting context across products and teams.
