• Design and build critical systems that power PlanetScale's database platform • Collaborate with a team of expert engineers to solve complex distributed systems challenges • Work independently to solve engineering and business problems with little direction • Work directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into robust technical solutions

• Build and own backend product capabilities for Stytch’s identity platform on Twilio. • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction, translate customer needs into product capabilities. • Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams to align on architecture and integrate platform capabilities. • Operate with deep technical ownership: author design docs, drive key technical decisions, review code. • Build in ambiguity—break down complex problems and design developer experiences that delight customers. • Improve production quality and resilience through strong observability, incident response and remediation. • Mentor and support other engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge-sharing.

• Develop and maintain AI-enabled product features using language models such as GPT-5 and Claude • Implement applications and protocols that support intelligent workflows and automation • Build and refine user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery • Develop backend systems using Python, Django, and PostgreSQL • Integrate image and video generation models to enhance user experiences • Maintain and improve existing software by resolving bugs and optimizing performance • Translate product requirements into functional, user-facing features • Balance quality, scalability, and efficiency in all technical decisions • Collaborate effectively in a distributed, asynchronous work environment

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js. • Build and support full-stack applications using React and Next.js. • Contribute to architecture decisions, data modeling, and production-grade deployments. • Develop secure, reliable, and maintainable systems for high-volume transaction and financial workflows. • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define technical solutions and improve platform capabilities. • Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, and deployment strategies. • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and proactively identify system improvements. • Contribute to technical discussions and provide input on product and engineering decisions. • Mentor junior engineers and support engineering best practices across the team. • Work effectively in a remote-first and highly collaborative environment.
