Role Description Babylist’s finance and accounting operations run on NetSuite, and as the business scales, so does the complexity of keeping that platform aligned with the real needs of our accounting, finance, and operations teams. As our Senior NetSuite Functional Analyst, you will be the deep functional expert on NetSuite’s financial modules — partnering directly with accounting and finance to translate business needs into practical solutions, and working alongside our existing NetSuite Developer and NetSuite Administrator to ensure the platform enables rather than hinders day-to-day operations. You will join a small, tight-knit NetSuite pod inside our Financial Systems team. This pod owns the full lifecycle of NetSuite work: - Lead the functional “what and why” (and often the “how” that stays within native NetSuite). - The Developer owns custom SuiteScript development. - The Administrator owns system administration and day-to-day operational support. You will report to our Staff Technical Product Manager for Financial Operations and partner closely with Engineering, Accounting, Finance, and Operations. Qualifications - 6+ years of experience implementing or operating ERP solutions and financial operations processes, with deep hands-on NetSuite experience. - A NetSuite functional subject matter expert across the financial modules: GL, AP, AR, Revenue Recognition, Fixed Assets, ARM, SuiteBilling, and Consolidations. - Defaults to NetSuite’s native capabilities before proposing custom development. - Experience partnering directly with accounting and finance teams through close, audit, and operational cycles. - Working command of the technical toolkit — SuiteScript, workflows, SuiteApps, NetSuite APIs, saved searches, and dashboards. - Experienced working with NetSuite as part of a broader financial operations ecosystem. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Comfortable with ambiguity and can translate vague business pain into clear, actionable functional requirements. - Demonstrated capabilities working in an AI-first development environment. - Bonus: prior experience in a high-growth ecommerce, consumer, or marketplace environment; prior experience as a NetSuite Administrator. Requirements - Serve as the deep subject matter expert on NetSuite’s financial modules. - Act as the primary systems partner for our accounting and finance teams. - Own the “what and why” (and in many cases the “how”) for intra-NetSuite work. - Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual workarounds and improve reporting. - Operate as the NetSuite functional voice inside a broader financial operations ecosystem. Benefits - Competitive salary with equity and bonus opportunities. - Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance. - Retirement savings plan with company matching and flexible spending accounts. - Generous paid parental leave and PTO. - Remote work stipend to set up your office. - Perks for physical, mental, and emotional health, parenting, childcare, and financial planning.
