• Manage a portfolio of clients in the ongoing stage; • Lead the customer journey with regular check-ins, clear action plans and a results-oriented focus; • Ensure platform adoption and user engagement, linking system usage to real construction outcomes; • Act proactively to identify and resolve issues, mitigate risks and ensure the client achieves expected goals; • Conduct commercial negotiations when needed to secure client retention; • Identify expansion opportunities within the portfolio, such as new projects, upsell and cross-sell, in collaboration with relevant teams; • Analyze portfolio data (usage, engagement and customer health) to guide decision-making; • Digital mindset, curiosity about new technologies and interest in understanding how Artificial Intelligence can transform processes, experiences and outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related fields;
  • Previous experience in the construction sector (builders/developers);
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Excel and Project;
  • Experience in commercial roles or Customer Success;
  • Experience with construction planning and/or cost management and ERPs (Sienge, TOTVS, Mega, others);
  • Availability for periodic travel (approximately every 2 months);
  • Knowledge of or interest in Artificial Intelligence technologies: tools, applications and concepts.

Role Description The Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP) is responsible for bringing Amtrak stations into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. ADASP implements nationwide design and construction of infrastructure improvements to provide accessibly to Amtrak’s intercity rail transportation system. This position will be part of a Joint Venture (JV) (AECOM & Jacobs) that provides staff and services to Amtrak. The Senior Construction Contracting Official, within the procurement team, will work to establish strategic contracts for construction, engineering, or related services to support our internal stakeholders as well as development of strategic procurement efforts. This position is accountable for cost-effective life-cycle management of highly complex and possibly critical or strategic commercial categories or groups of categories and associated subcontracting where applicable. - Reports to Amtrak ADA Program’s Director of Procurement & Logistics. - Administers contracts which allow Amtrak to remain compliant with 49 CFR 19.40-19.48, with exception of 19.44 (b), as well as various FRA Grant requirements, FAR Part 31, and DOL Davis Bacon requirements. - Responsible for major engineering or construction procurements and subcontract processes and procedures ranging in dollar value from $500K to $250M+. - Responsible for pre-award activities & post-award administration, including chairing pre-proposal and pre-construction meetings, risk analysis, negotiating terms and conditions, payment terms, liquidated damages, and incentive fees. - Performs post-award cost analysis, evaluations, and justifications for all change orders. - Provides procurement for Amtrak business units, including solicitation, negotiation of contract pricing, contractual terms and conditions of purchase, and development of contracting sources. - Serves as a vital interface to business units and management as a recognized source of expertise for the sourcing function. - Oversee all activities related to the management of business units’ procurement requirements, from RFP to Notice-to-Proceed, to delivery and closeout of contracts. - Provides efficiency in the purchasing process with execution at the best value for Amtrak while ensuring overall satisfaction for all parties involved. - Recruits, maintains, and manages engineering firms or contractors with focus on total systems value while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct. - Negotiates complex contracts involving variable costs and non-standard Terms and Conditions. - Prepares and administers contracts that are financially and legally sound to ensure enforcement of contractual requirements and Amtrak’s policies and procedures. - Assists business units in finalizing Statements of Work from a commercial perspective as necessary. - Negotiates complex contract terms and conditions, reads drawings and understands technical scopes of work in detail.
