Design Engineer – Grid Modernization

• Facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient project execution • Serve as the primary client contact to define project scope and gather detailed requirements • Develop capital construction plans that support grid modernization initiatives • Design and implement technical solutions to address client distribution system challenges • Perform distribution-level planning studies to evaluate system performance and identify improvements • Produce high-quality deliverables, including: System study reports, Consultative reports, Capital construction planning documents, Cost-benefit analyses, Construction specifications • Partner with clients to create customized solutions addressing distribution grid issues and advancing modernization goals • Provide detailed oversight of QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of team deliverables
Job Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school
- Minimum of 2 years with EIT certification engineering experience or minimum of 4 years without EIT certification engineering experience is required
- Experience Distribution Modeling Software (i.e. Cyme, Synergi, Windmil) is required
- Previous experience working for a vertically integrated Utility is preferred
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the US
- Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
- Experience with GIS applications is preferred
