Role Description Join our Business Development team as Working Student for 20 hours a week. We are looking for an Academia Working Student to support the Business Development department at Sartorius, homebased in South Africa. As a working student, you benefit in two ways: you gain important work experience and earn some extra money alongside your studies. This role is ideal for someone who is currently in the midst of their academic journey. - First step in a potential future career at Sartorius in Sales & Marketing during your academic career. - Target identification and lead generation (research events, global data) for analytical and bioprocess equipment for scientific research, process development and production. - Send cold emails to prospects (lead qualification – no selling). - Work independently and self-organized within academic environment, research institutes and Start-ups in your geographical area. - Use data to map and build Salesforce database. - Networking, research and participation in conferences and events – provide product introduction, connect sales to potential new accounts. - Enable access to new trends and support collaborations – platform development and research. - Brand visibility – establish new relationships with customers. Qualifications - Bachelor, Master or PhD student in Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology or Life Science from one of the following universities: UCT, Stellenbosch, Wits. - Strong communication and written skills in English. - High level of self-confidence. - Networking attitude and persuasive personality. - Ability to work self-driven and with a high level of self-motivation. - Basic presentation and negotiation skills. Requirements - In order to commence working with us, the successful candidate must have the right to work in South Africa. Role Description The firm's Managing Attorney position will support and lead companies through the process of securing work visas and green cards for foreign national employees. Meltzer Hellrung's clients span from individual entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies and venture-backed unicorns. This position is fundamentally responsible for helping clients make strategic decisions in hiring employees, determining what visas to apply for, and the best way to secure those benefits. They will collaborate with other attorneys and paralegals to prepare and review petitions to the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Labor, and the Department of State. The job is fast-paced, and a Managing Attorney may work on many different client matters per day. A significant part of the job is responding to communication from clients by email and phone. For this particular role, the attorney will largely focus on serving mid-volume SME clients, dealing directly with Human Resources, People Operations, General Counsel, and/or C-level executives. Location: Offered in Chicago and remotely Availability: Immediate, Full-Time New hires located outside of Chicago are expected to report to the Chicago office for one week upon starting for in-person training.
