The ideal candidate excels in cloud infrastructure, automation, troubleshooting, and maintaining secure, high availability systems across both on prem and Azure environments. Key Responsibilities Azure Administration • Manage Azure services such as virtual machines (Windows & Linux), storage accounts, virtual networks, identity, policies, and monitoring. • Oversee Azure server side backup operations, including protection policies, restore testing, retention strategies, and integration with on prem systems. • Work extensively with Azure networking: o VNets, NSGs, Subnets, Load Balancers, storage types, and deployment types. o Understand deployment patterns and infrastructure layout in Azure. Troubleshooting & Operations • Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems, server side networking, cloud workloads, access control, and application performance. • Support disaster recovery procedures, system restorations, and root cause analysis within hybrid cloud environments. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer • Produce clear documentation covering operational processes, troubleshooting steps, and infrastructure standards. • Provide training or knowledge-sharing to IT operations and other technical teams. Systems Lifecycle & Backup • Perform builds, upgrades, and lifecycle management for servers in both cloud and on prem environments. • Support backup and restore operations leveraging Azure Backup and related tooling. Production Support • Deliver second level support for cloud services, compute resources, storage platforms, and server infrastructure. • Participate in after hours on call rotations as needed.
