Role Description The Senior Lead Software Engineer provides technical leadership across complex, business-critical systems. This role leads design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance applications while mentoring engineering teams and enforcing engineering best practices. - Serve as the technical lead for major development initiatives, ensuring architecture, code quality, and solution integrity. - Design and implement highly performant data and application components leveraging deep Snowflake expertise, including performance tuning, cost optimization, and secure data sharing patterns. - Collaborate with architecture, product, and business partners to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned to FIS standards. - Drive engineering excellence: code reviews, CI/CD maturity, automated testing, observability, and operational readiness. - Diagnose complex issues across distributed systems and provide guidance for long-term resolution. - Mentor engineers, providing technical coaching and elevating overall team capability. Qualifications - Proven experience as a lead or senior engineer in enterprise-scale environments. - Expert-level Snowflake experience including architecture, SQL performance tuning, resource optimization, and integration with cloud platforms (Azure preferred). - Strong experience with distributed systems, modern development frameworks, and DevOps practices. - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive outcomes across multiple workstreams.
