Title: Campaign & Donor Relations Associate Location: United States Job Description: Campaign & Donor Relations Associate Hillel International Role Overview Hillel International's Advancement Pillar is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Campaign and Donor Relations Associate to join the Advancement and Philanthropic Services team. This position supports Hillel's mission by managing donor communications, ensuring the accuracy of gift and donor data, and facilitating smooth financial processing and stewardship. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker with excellent communication skills, a proactive work ethic, and a desire to grow in the fundraising and nonprofit sectors. This position is fully remote and open to eligible candidates in the United States. What You'll Do Donor Relations & Stewardship: - Serve as the primary point of contact for donor inquiries via phone and email, providing high-quality support and customer service. - Manage the production and distribution of donor acknowledgments, tribute notifications, and pledge reminders. - Track and report on planned giving commitments and associated documentation. - Maintain up-to-date constituent records and ensure accuracy across all touchpoints. Gift Processing & Finance Liaison: - Accurately process incoming donations across multiple channels, including checks, wires, stock, online gifts, and donor-advised funds. - Partner with the Finance team to reconcile donations and ensure accurate coding and reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. - Serve as a liaison between the Advancement and Finance teams and local Hillels regarding gift processing and documentation. Data & Reporting: - Manage donor records in Salesforce, including gift entry, donor profiles, and engagement activity. - Run regular reports to track campaign and donor activity; perform data audits to ensure system integrity. - Support direct mail and digital fundraising campaigns by managing lists and gift imports in coordination with external vendors. Team & Event Support: - Play an integral role in backend logistics and data support for Advancement events and webinars. - Collaborate with key programmatic teams to ensure donor information is gathered, shared, and used effectively. - Take on special projects and administrative tasks as needed to support the broader Campaign Services team. What You'll Bring to the Job - A bachelor's degree. - At least two years of professional work experience or internships. - A passion for mission-driven work and curiosity about fundraising strategy. - Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; prior experience with Salesforce or another CRM preferred. - A self-starting attitude with a collaborative spirit and willingness to learn. - Experience in a fundraising, customer service, or data-focused role is a plus. - Commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of donor data. The Donor Relations Coordinator manages key donor communication projects and assists with donor relations activities within Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation's network Donor Relations department, which provides stewardship support to all hospital foundations and entities tasked with fundraising for Hackensack Meridian Health. Responsibilities A day in the life of a Donor Relations Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: - Assists in the creation and operation of donor relations communications, which may include: first time/new donor communications, birthday cards, hand-written thank you notes, tribute gift lists, impact reports, special communications, and other mailings. - Assists in the development and operation of various tracking procedures, which may include: acknowledgements, actions, recognition, reporting and other needs. - Assists in donor recognition projects, which may include: recognition inventory, updating annual donor walls, reviewing donor listings, preparing individual plaque proofs and working with recognition vendors and site teams to help coordinate installations. - Assists with special donor touches, which may include: photobooks, videos, gift baskets, custom gifts, etc. - Assists with proofing and review of donor relations communication and content, including design and layout for in-house communications. - Administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering the phone, scheduling meetings, maintaining spreadsheets and running reports. - Other duties and/or projects as assigned. - Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
