Job Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in a BDR/SDR or equivalent sales role
- You have a proven track record of generating an outbound pipeline from scratch. Cold calls, cold emails, social selling, and creative prospecting are second nature to you, not afterthoughts.
- You're a skilled multi-threader. You instinctively engage multiple stakeholders across an account simultaneously, mapping buying committees and building champions at every level of an organization.
- You've consistently hit or exceeded outbound-specific metrics, reaching 90%+ quota attainment. Whether that's meetings booked, pipeline generated, or sequences launched, you've got the numbers to back it up.
- You're naturally curious and confident. You ask sharp questions, listen actively, and know how to tailor your message to different personas, from a CFO to a Head of Procurement.
- You have strong business acumen and understand that every prospect has a unique problem. You listen, discern, and connect the dots between their pain and our solution.
- You bring great energy that people gravitate toward, with strong written and verbal communication skills that cut through the noise in a crowded inbox or on a cold call.
- You have a bias toward action. You don't wait for inbound, you go find the pipeline yourself.
- You thrive in fast-moving, evolving environments and adapt your approach without losing momentum.
- You're collaborative and coachable. You'll partner closely with AEs on account and territory planning and raise the bar for the SDRs around you.
- You're proficient with sales tools like Gong, Salesforce, or Sales Navigator and know how to build and optimize sequences that actually convert.
- Bonus: Experience selling into the office of the CFO is a big plus. You understand the compliance considerations, buying cycles, and stakeholder complexity that come with the territory.

Role Description TaxGPT is building the intelligence layer for tax. We’ve partnered with over 3,000 firms and 6,000+ businesses — from lean CPA firms to global enterprises — to redefine how professionals research, collaborate, and execute tax workflows using AI. We’re looking for a hungry, curious, and disciplined Sales Development Representative to help us reach the next wave of accounting firms, tax professionals, and finance teams across North America. As an SDR at TaxGPT, you’ll be the first human touchpoint for many of our future customers — researching accounts, making calls, and booking qualified meetings that drive real revenue. This is a high-ownership role with a clear, KPI-based promotion path into a closing Account Executive seat. The best performers won’t stay SDRs for long — they’ll earn their way into AE by consistently hitting performance targets and revenue goals. If you’re sharp, self-motivated, and want to build a sales career in one of the most exciting AI-meets-vertical-SaaS markets, this is for you. What You’ll Do - Build qualified pipeline for our AE team. - Own outbound prospecting across phone and email to generate high-quality meetings with accounting firms, tax professionals, and tax advisors. - Run sharp, human, outbound outreach. - Qualify inbound leads. - Own your numbers. - Partner closely with AEs. - Be the voice of the prospect internally. - Earn your promotion to AE. Qualifications - 1–2 years of SDR, BDR, or outbound sales experience, ideally in SaaS or technology. - A proven track record of hitting and exceeding pipeline, meeting, or activity quotas. - Excellent written and verbal communication — clear, concise, and tailored to the audience. - Strong sales and prospecting instincts; you know how to find the right accounts, the right people, and the right messaging. - Growth mindset, high ownership, and comfort with the volume and rejection that comes with outbound sales. - Coachable and self-aware — you actively seek feedback and apply it quickly. - Organized and disciplined with your pipeline, follow-ups, and CRM hygiene. - Ambitious about a long-term sales career and motivated by a clear path to AE. Nice-to-Haves - Experience selling into accounting firms, tax professionals, CPAs, or financial services teams. - Excited about AI and how it’s reshaping work — bonus points if you already build it into your day. - Some knowledge of tax software platforms (e.g., CCH, Thomson Reuters, TaxPrep). - Background in accounting, tax, or finance — even if not in a sales capacity. - Early-stage or founding SDR experience at a high-growth startup. - Comfort using modern outbound tooling and AI-assisted workflows. What We Offer - Compensation: $60,000 USD OTE plus 5% commission on all sourced revenue — uncapped. - Clear Promotion Path: A defined, KPI-based path to promote into an Account Executive role. - Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. - Remote-first: Work from anywhere in North America. - Ownership & Impact: Direct visibility into leadership, product strategy, and company growth initiatives. - Professional Development: Access to top-tier sales training, AI tooling, and development resources including a $350 credit. - Culture: We’re a high-trust, high-output team with fast feedback loops and real ownership. Our Hiring Process - Step 1: Quick Screen (10 minutes) - Apply online and we’ll review your application quickly. - Step 2: Outbound Assignment (~45 minutes) - Analyze a recorded cold call and provide recommendations for improvement. - Step 3: Virtual Interview (1 hour) - Discuss your assignment, outbound approach, and pipeline generation. - Step 4: Founder Interview (30 minutes) - Meet with our Founder & CEO to discuss TaxGPT’s vision and the SDR-to-AE path. Timeline We aim to make decisions within 7 days.
