Vice President, Engineering
Pindrop
• Be the technical visionary behind Pindrop’s multi-cloud platform across AWS and GCP, and Pindrop’s cross-product machine learning capabilities. • Shape the craft, engineering culture, engineering process, and engineering talent hiring and development across all product teams. • Own Pindrop’s core platform that supports both Pindrop Passport and Protect, including its roadmap, engineering delivery, process execution, quality, and timing. • Collaborate closely with the Chief Architect on technical vision, adapting principles to practices and techniques to achieve evolve-able architectures. • Build and foster engineering talent across the entire organization, enhancing and evolving the structure of career growth, onboarding, and retention. • Lay out processes to reduce or eliminate downtime, improve scalability and reliability, and implement a problem management process with a cohesive observability strategy. • Put in controls and processes to monitor and reduce cloud and data costs on an ongoing basis.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience building and supporting application platforms and/or infrastructure with extensive and current experience as a people leader.
- Proven experience leading a large technology organization of 30 or more individuals with director-level reports.
- Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and structure technology organizations in growth-phase companies.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and data technologies on AWS and/or GCP, with multi-cloud deployment experience.
- Understanding of data science infrastructure, machine learning, and Generative AI implementation.
- Experience with network and application security, or experience developing and creating an enterprise security program/team.
- Ability to structure team topologies, interactions, and value streams for high efficiency using lean principles.
- Clear understanding of the value of CI/CD, best practices, and methods to apply it at scale.
