• Lead the engineering team and the technical strategy for ProgressionLIVE. • Own the platform technical roadmap and translate it into concrete, executable engineering plans aligned with business objectives. • Make and defend architectural decisions. • Evolve the Java backend (Spring + Hibernate) and the web frontend (Vue 3 / TypeScript). • Own the mobile strategy. • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of a multi-tenant SaaS operated on AWS. • Establish and maintain modern engineering practices. • Manage the platform's security posture. • Track key technical metrics: uptime, performance, code quality, velocity, technical debt. • Lead the adoption of agentic AI tools across the development lifecycle. • Coach developers, QA, and DevOps in practical use of tools. • Design and deliver agentic workflows that enhance team productivity. • Identify high-leverage automation opportunities within engineering. • Recruit, mentor, and grow the engineering team.

Job Requirements

  • More than 7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role (team lead, engineering manager, lead developer, software architect, or equivalent).
  • Strong backend credibility. Able to read and reason about a Java monolith (Spring + Hibernate), understand its trade-offs, and lead a team that maintains and evolves it.
  • Strong frontend instincts. Proficiency in modern Vue or React ecosystems with TypeScript, sufficient to make architectural decisions and review delivered work.
  • Deep AWS experience: Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, Aurora, S3, SES, IAM, networking. Experience operating a multi-tenant SaaS in production, with a clear opinion on trade-offs between managed services, containers, and serverless.
  • Database design experience. Experience with Amazon Aurora MySQL or equivalent, with perspective on multi-tenant schema design and query performance at scale.
  • Mastery of CI/CD and IaC: GitHub Actions, Terraform, and an understanding of what a pipeline that deploys to production actually looks like.
  • Practical security background. Able to read a SAST/DAST report, triage vulnerabilities by real risk, and lead the response.
  • Experience with mobile platforms. Understanding trade-offs between native and hybrid approaches, mobile API design and versioning, backward compatibility, offline behavior, and synchronization.
  • Product sense. Understanding that the best technical decisions are made in service of the user and the business. Experience in a product-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on use of agentic AI tools in your own daily work.
