Full TimeRemoteTeam 51-200

Role Description We’re hiring a Senior Rails Full-Stack Developer to join our Growth team — a fast-moving engineering group focused on experimentation, user experience, and business impact. This isn’t a traditional feature factory role. Growth engineers at Hubstaff are deeply involved in ideation, experimentation, analytics, and outcomes — not just implementation. We’re looking for engineers who are driven by outcomes over output and who thrive in environments where speed, learning, and ownership matter. Success in this role means thinking beyond tickets and contributing to the full lifecycle of experiments: ideation, implementation, measurement, iteration, and learnings. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Data, and Marketing to launch experiments quickly, learn fast, and improve conversion, activation, retention, and customer experience across the platform. What You’ll Do - Build and scale features using Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, Tailwind, and modern frontend tooling - Launch rapid growth experiments with ultra-fast turnaround times - Own projects and experiments from idea to outcome — not just delivery - Scope-cut strategically to maximize learning velocity and business impact - Work with tools like Statsig, Segment, Metabase, and Customer.io - Analyze metrics, events, experiment results, and user behavior to guide decisions - Balance technical quality with experimentation speed - Improve performance, reliability, and UX across the platform - Collaborate asynchronously with a high-performing remote team Qualifications - 5+ years building production web applications - Strong Ruby on Rails experience - Strong frontend experience with Hotwire/Turbo/Stimulus + Tailwind - Experience with React, Vue, or similar modern JS frameworks - Product-minded engineer with strong ownership mentality - Comfortable operating in fast-moving, experimentation-heavy environments - Strong understanding of metrics, event tracking, experimentation, and data-informed decision-making - Ability to think through tradeoffs, risks, and business impact — not just technical implementation - Bias toward action with a “ship, learn, iterate” mindset - Experience working remotely and asynchronously - Stable work history with multi-year tenure preferred Nice to Have - Experience with Statsig, Segment, Metabase, or Customer.io - Experience scaling SaaS platforms - Background in growth/product experimentation - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP Location - Hiring in: Argentina, Brazil, Poland, Romania, Spain, Portugal Compensation - $45–60 USD/hour - ~40 hours/week - Long-term contractor role Benefits - A fully remote company with a strong async-first culture - High ownership, low bureaucracy environment where engineers have real product impact - Fast-moving Growth team focused on experimentation, learning, and outcomes - Opportunity to work closely with Product, Data, Design, and Marketing on initiatives that directly influence business growth - Autonomy to move quickly, test ideas, and shape solutions beyond implementation - Long-term product and engineering focus with meaningful technical challenges - Competitive compensation for top talent Company Description Hubstaff helps remote teams work smarter with industry-leading workforce analytics, time tracking, scheduling, and payroll automation software used by 140,000+ users globally. We’ve been fully remote for over a decade and believe remote work is one of the biggest shifts in modern work. We’re profitable, product-led, and building for the long term.

• We're hiring a Staff Data Engineer to design and build the operational data systems that power Keycard — the pipelines, storage layers, and APIs that drive near real-time enforcement, feedback loops, and customer insights. • The systems you build will serve both the transactional needs of our core identity services and the OLAP requirements that help organizations understand and improve their security posture. You'll balance streaming and batch paradigms — knowing when low-latency streaming is essential and when batch provides clarity and power. • Your work will span from integrating external data sources to enabling policy evaluation to surfacing insights in dashboards and APIs. • You'll work directly with founders, product, and the engineers building our core services and SDKs. You'll have deep autonomy, accountability to deliver, and the chance to shape the data architecture of a category-defining company from the ground up.
