Senior DevOps Engineer

• Provision, configure, secure, and administer customer-facing cloud infrastructure supporting all cloud platforms. • Design and execute deployment plans for software releases across development, staging, and production environments. • Participate in DevOps on-call rotation and incident response activities. • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker. • Manage observability and monitoring systems using Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and related tooling. • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks. • Administer identity and access management, secrets management, and role-based access controls. • Oversee cloud backup, redundancy, disaster recovery, and failover testing processes. • Support cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability remediation, patch management, log monitoring, and security posture assessments. • Collaborate closely with Software Engineering, Product Management, IT, and Security teams. • Support cloud deployments and operational compliance activities within the US and China. • Work with AWS and Alibaba Cloud infrastructure and services for US and China-based deployments. • Help design and maintain secure remote DevOps operational models for systems hosted in the US and China. • Support operational requirements related to MLPS, PIPL, cross-border data transfer controls, 21-CFR Part 11 audit logging, and cloud security architecture. • Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and infrastructure partners regarding cloud operations and compliance. • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues across distributed cloud infrastructure environments. • Develop operational tooling, scripts, dashboards, and infrastructure automation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure engineering, or SRE-related roles.
- Strong experience operating production systems in AWS and Alibaba cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Linux administration, and CI/CD systems.
- Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, or New Relic.
- Experience supporting high-availability microservice-based cloud platforms.
- Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, shell scripting, or similar technologies.
- Experience managing MySQL environments.
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure security, IAM, and vulnerability management.
- Previous experience working with cloud systems operating in China.
- Understanding of global and China cloud regulatory and operational requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
