Role Description The AVP of Operations is responsible for the overall management of operations that support underwriting, including, but not limited to: - Development, management, and monitoring of submission clearance - File construction and retrieval - Processing and invoicing bound new and renewal business - Policy issuance - Processing policy change requests or endorsements - Processing of all administrative work related to submissions and in-force policies The AVP of Operations is responsible for the direct management of a team that supports the overall underwriting operations function, ensuring effective process metrics are met or exceeded, as well as providing excellent customer service. Qualifications - 7 – 9 years of previous underwriting operations or general underwriter/agent experience in a commercial insurance setting preferred - 2 – 4 years of previous supervisory experience preferred - Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or other related discipline preferred Requirements - Strong working knowledge of insurance underwriting - Strong PC skills, with a focus on the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and the ability to work within agency management systems - Organized and analytical, with a strong attention to detail - Ability to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environment - Ability to maximize staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; encouraging and supporting professional development; coordinating and ensuring effective utilization of systems; ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and productivity standards - Self-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed - Regular and punctual attendance is required - Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing - Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both colleagues and managers, across all levels - Ability to promote and maintain a team environment, willing to find accommodating solutions for our customers, companies and the Agency - Ability to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentiality Benefits - Remote work opportunities vary by location, department, and business need and are subject to change, as needed. • Provide essential operational support that keeps our ACO running smoothly while directly contributing to healthcare transformation initiatives. • Prepare high-level board presentations, coordinate key events like ACO retreats and kick-offs, and design critical reports using business intelligence tools. • Monitor compliance activities, support leadership on special projects, and serve as the operational backbone ensuring seamless communication across all levels of the organization, from board meetings to provider communications. • Gain valuable exposure to strategic decisions that shape the future of value-based care.
• The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Systems provides leadership in the engineering, design and development of new products or changes to existing products, processes, and equipment. • Interfaces with and furnishes scientific knowledge to multi-disciplinary teams overseeing development of neurovascular devices. • Provide engineering support on existing devices for manufacturing. • Create and execute an integrated cross-functional project plan. • Fluently navigate quality management systems within scope and have general knowledge of quality systems beyond scope. • Develop new processes for medical devices and components. • Execute tasks independently and does not require assistance nor guidance. • Think strategically within scope. • Effectively and succinctly communicate task or activity status, assumptions, risks, timeline, and escalations cross-functionally and interdepartmentally. • Lead cross-functional team to plan and implement changes and improvements to operational systems and processes. • Lead identification, discussion, and mitigation of project risks to successful completion of tasks and activities. • Document manufacturing and production development process through lab notebooks, engineering protocols, and engineering reports. • Perform research and integrate new technologies into existing and future products and processes. • Solve practical problems encountered. • Create and modify product design specifications. • If in a supervisory position, select, manage, train, and develop staff.
