Associate Commercial Counsel
ActiveCampaign
• Assist the General Counsel, the legal department, and senior management with a variety of legal issues related to the ActiveCampaign family of businesses. • Draft, negotiate, and review various contracts, including customer and vendor contracts, strategic partnership agreements, NDAs, master services agreements, and license agreements, among others. • Serve as legal advisor to various internal departments and committees as requested. • Assist with the maintenance and oversight of relationships with external counsel as required. • Work closely with revenue operations and legal operations teams to improve and refine contractual workflows for optimal efficiency, automating processes where applicable to streamline and improve existing contract workflows. • Partner with company leaders to identify practical and legal risk.
Job Requirements
- 4-year college degree and a Juris Doctorate degree.
- Active membership in good standing with a State Bar.
- 3+ years of experience as an attorney, focusing on transactional, commercial, or corporate law with strong transactional experience (preferably with a SaaS or technology company).
- Proven experience negotiating contracts across various risk and value levels.
- Experience designing and maintaining legal resources, such as iterating upon contractual playbooks.
- Prior experience with tech industry clients and familiarity with global data privacy and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with contract management software (CMS), with specific experience in Ironclad and/or Zip (preferred but not strictly required).
- Experience advising clients with global operations, understanding the nuances of international business.
- Excellent research and project management skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes.
- High levels of organization and self-motivation, with the capability to track and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
