Shakepay
• Define and evolve the architecture of Shakepay's internal developer platform • Design and build core infrastructure that supports our growing systems and teams • Lead development of internal tools and automations that significantly improve developer productivity • Design and implement infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices across the platform • Build and evolve observability systems, including monitoring, alerting, and dashboards • Design and implement AI-powered internal tools and agentic workflows that automate operational and development tasks • Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of our production environment • Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to promote system design and operational best practices • Lead technical initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams • Mentor engineers and guide technical decisions through design reviews and architecture discussions • Influence the long-term technical direction of our infrastructure and platform ecosystem • Participate in incident response and drive improvements in operational resilience
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps
- Strong programming experience (e.g., Go, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent)
- Deep experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems
- Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment systems
- Experience designing internal platforms or developer tools used by multiple teams
- Experience improving developer experience and engineering velocity through platform enhancements
- Experience building tools or workflows using AI/LLMs to automate tasks or augment developer productivity
- Excellent system design skills and architectural thinking
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives across multiple teams
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Pragmatic, problem-solving mindset focused on delivering business outcomes.
