Job Description

Content Ops Specialist, Bilingual Content Writer

Horizontal Digital

• Own and run end-to-end content workflows, from intake and briefing through drafting, review, approval and publishing, keeping delivery predictable across multiple workstreams. • Build and maintain the operational toolkit, including trackers, intake forms, status dashboards, style guides and templates, so teams and clients always know where content stands. • Define and enforce content governance, including roles and responsibilities, quality standards, review gates and version control across Arabic and English. • Coordinate CMS teams, writers, translators, designers and developers, managing capacity, prioritisation and timelines so content lands on schedule. • Track content status and surface risks early, reporting clearly to clients and internal stakeholders on progress, blockers and next steps. • Continuously improve ways of working, identifying bottlenecks and embedding scalable processes and AI-assisted workflows where they add value. • Write clear, compelling copy in both Arabic and English for websites, journeys, campaigns and experiences across B2C and B2B sectors. • Adapt tone and messaging to suit different industries (e.g. finance, travel, retail) and sensitivities (e.g. regulated content). • Craft copy for CTAs, headlines, page narratives, microcopy, error states and everything in between. • Write for different funnel stages, from awareness to action to retention, across omni-channel experiences. • Own Arabic and English versions of content, transcreating rather than translating literally, and maintain quality and cultural nuance across both languages. • Work with an understanding of modular content models, structured data and tagging for reuse and personalisation. • Align content to Sitecore and Content Hub capabilities (e.g. components, assets, content types). • Lead and contribute to content migration, QA and authoring for digital builds. • Work in lockstep with UX, Strategy, Tech and Design teams to deliver joined-up experiences. • Drive user journey mapping and content planning sessions.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience spanning content operations or content management and digital content writing or copywriting (agency or in-house), with operations as a core strength.
  • Proven content operations experience, including running workflows, building trackers and governance, coordinating contributors and keeping multi-workstream delivery on schedule.
  • Full professional fluency in Arabic and English, with the ability to write, edit and transcreate to a publishable standard in both languages.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in real content production and operations, and clear judgement on where human craft must lead.
  • Familiarity with SEO, structured data, and accessibility best practices.
  • Working knowledge of GEO and AEO, and writing content that performs in generative and AI-driven search, not just traditional SEO.
  • Strong portfolio of web, product or campaign writing, with clear examples of voice, clarity and strategic thinking.
  • Understanding of structured content and writing for modular design systems.
  • Experience working in or around CMS platforms like Sitecore, Content Hub or similar.
  • Excellent attention to detail, grammar, flow and digital usability.
  • Clear communication, collaborative energy and the ability to take and apply feedback constructively.
