What you’ll do:; - Comb through the literature in experimentation to identify potential methodologies that can improve parts of our platform where we have the biggest opportunities. - Make the process of setting up, running and evaluating experiments smoother and more repeatable for our platform users, ensuring that decisions are risk-aware and consistent - Write workflows to make our vast experimentation meta-data able to be leveraged by our team and outside of our team to better understand the experimentation landscape. - Consult with product data science teams to debug, design or improve their experiments and experimentation process. What we’re looking for: - PhD in a relevant field (stats, applied math, biostatistics, etc…) OR 2+ years of hands-on experience working as a data scientist or applied scientist. - Experience working directly on experimentation problems and an awareness of state of the art methodologies. - The ability to write clean, efficient, and scalable code that can be easily maintained and extended by other team members. - Proficiency in software development best practices, including version control systems such as Git, to ensure efficient collaboration, code management, and reproducibility in a data science environment. - Familiarity with workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow to create and schedule data pipelines, allowing for automated and reliable execution of machine learning workflows. Role Description We are seeking a motivated and experienced (Senior) Environmental Scientist / (Senior) Industrial Hygienist to join our growing Industrial Hygiene & Built Environment practice in Arizona. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on field experience conducting environmental assessments related to asbestos, lead, mold, indoor air quality (IAQ), and general industrial hygiene evaluations. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality technical assessments, sampling, reporting, and compliance support across a variety of industrial, commercial, and public‑sector environments. Job Responsibilities - Conduct field investigations - including asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and IAQ assessments, as well as broader industrial hygiene evaluations. - Collect bulk samples, air samples, wipe samples, water samples, and other environmental media according to regulatory and project‑specific protocols. - Perform building surveys, moisture mapping, and visual inspections to identify environmental hazards or building-related deficiencies. - Assist with abatement/remediation project monitoring, contractor oversight, and clearance testing. - Prepare clear, accurate, and technically sound reports, data summaries, and field documentation. - Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination of field activities. - Maintain strong knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, local building codes). - Respond to both planned and emergent events. - Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders. - Strictly follow internal safety protocols and promote a safe work environment. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. - A minimum of 2 years of relevant field experience in environmental or industrial hygiene consulting. - Practical experience conducting and documenting: - Asbestos surveys (in accordance with AHERA, NESHAP, and OSHA regulations) - Lead-based paint assessments (EPA/HUD guidelines) - Mold and moisture investigations - Indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments - Proficiency with field sampling equipment, building diagnostics tools, and data recording methods. - Strong technical writing and communication skills. - Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple tasks concurrently. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
