Role Description As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you’ll be a strategic technical expert for a customer-facing sales team. You'll use your skills to: - Serve as a technical advisor: Partner with the sales team to educate customers on Okta’s identity solutions and demonstrate their value. - Solve customer challenges: Understand customer needs and provide tailored product demonstrations to show how our solutions can solve their business problems. - Lead technical engagements: Answer product and technical questions, and plan and deliver complex Proofs of Concept (POCs) by collaborating with other Okta engineering teams. - Drive product and knowledge growth: Share customer feedback with our product teams to influence future enhancements and contribute to the team's knowledge by sharing best practices and reusable assets. - Stay ahead of the curve: Keep up with competitive analysis and market differentiation to better position Okta. - Support company events: Represent Okta at marketing events, including conferences, user groups, and trade shows. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering and solution selling, with a strong background in Enterprise account segments. - Deep understanding of identity protocols (e.g., SAML, OIDC, OAuth, FIDO, Passkeys, SCIM, LDAP). - Working knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure/Entra, and GCP. - Experience with REST APIs and SDKs. - Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: front-end web development, back-end development, scripting (Bash, PowerShell), or DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes). - Understanding of identity-related cybersecurity topics (e.g., phishing, MFA bypass attacks, privilege escalation). - The ability to simplify complex technical concepts and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences, from developers to C-level executives. - Proven skills in territory management, including building pipelines and collaborating with sales counterparts. - Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. - A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field is preferred. Requirements - Hands-on knowledge of Identity Governance (IGA) or Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. - Deep understanding of securing privileged accounts, including Just-in-Time (JIT) access, session recording, and secrets management. - Practical experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, LDAP, and Federation services. - Proficiency in CNAPP/CSPM, UNIX/Linux, database/network security, or DevOps practices. Are you passionate about helping organisations stop breaches using a platform that just works? If so, CrowdStrike is seeking a Perth based Sales Engineer with significant security expertise. You should be able to articulate how current security solutions are designed and deployed, and why they are failing. You will be part of a team responsible for changing what the security market and customers believe is possible with a next-generation endpoint technology. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment on multiple engagements. The role will be supporting the Sales team in presenting CrowdStrike’s security platform to incumbent and prospective Enterprise Accounts in WA, as well as working to up-sell existing accounts and renewals. This includes creating and delivering demonstrations of the products, gathering customer technical requirements, creating evaluation test plans, working through Proof of Value with prospects and managing the evaluation process to a successful conclusion. What You’ll Need: - Considerable proven experience in sales engineering – particularly in the areas of security, incident response or security architecture design. - Demonstrable experience working with Large Enterprise organisations. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment on multiple engagements. - Self-motivated and excellent organisational skills. - Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and external. - Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyse complex scenarios and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution. - The ability to fully understand complex architectures and quickly identify possible gaps or opportunities for bypassing traditional security technologies. - Technical understanding in relevant areas such as endpoint security, cloud security, identity prevention, zero-trust and MDR/XDR. - Experience working with Threat Intelligence solutions. - Understanding of Incident Response and investigation methodology - Ability to travel to customer locations and events.
