• Lead the design and development of PLC-based control systems, including control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, schematics, and network architectures. • Develop complete PLC I/O architectures, point-to-point wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and device connection details. • Design and document industrial control panels, including power distribution, grounding, component layout, and enclosure configuration. • Develop system layouts using floor plans to integrate control panels, field devices, instrumentation, and network infrastructure. • Engineer industrial network architectures, including Ethernet/IP layouts, switch configurations, device addressing, and communication structures. • Translate mechanical, electrical, and process drawings into coordinated control system designs. • Prepare and review submittals, bills of material (BOMs), device schedules, and construction documentation. • Lead design efforts for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and technical requirements. • Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, programmers, panel shops, and field teams to ensure successful execution. • Generate and respond to RFIs to resolve design clarifications. • Identify and resolve design conflicts, missing information, and coordination issues across disciplines. • Support commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities as needed. • Perform and lead QA/QC reviews of drawings, submittals, and as-built documentation. • Ensure compliance with company standards, CAD practices, and applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, UL 508A). • Mentor and provide technical guidance to entry-level and junior designers/engineers. • Contribute to development and refinement of design standards, templates, and workflows. • Maintain organized project documentation, revisions, and design records throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support the design and analysis of mechanical aspects of high-power electronic products supporting hydrogen electrolysis systems • Partner with lead mechanical designers on the layout and integration of power systems, thermal management solutions, and structural designs from prototype through production release • Create and release detailed drawings and documentation for parts and assemblies to support manufacturing and production • Perform detailed mechanical design of power bussing and bus interfaces for high-current DC output systems • Collaborate with systems optimization and modeling teams to evaluate power system performance and plant cost tradeoffs • Participate in design reviews and contribute to internal and external technical documentation related to power system mechanical design • Support manufacturing, testing, and field deployment activities as needed • Contribute to design for manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability across product development efforts

What you’ll do: - Design, prototype, and analyze exciting new products and components from concept to mass production. - Collaborate with industrial design, operations, and cross-functional engineering teams. - Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions for design improvements. - Support development builds onsite at external component suppliers and contract manufacturers. - Create detailed design models and documentation for production. - Develop and conduct technical experiments to select designs, materials, and technologies. - Lead and contribute to technical design reviews. - Travel to support build. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Strong engineering fundamentals, including wide knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods. - Proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D documentation. - Technical background in product design, mechanical architecture, tolerance analysis, design for manufacturing, and structural analysis. - Strong communication skills -- written, verbal, and presentations. Ability to clearly show your ideas to peers and leadership. Minimum Qualifications: - BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - 3+ years of relevant industry experience. Preferred Qualifications: - MS in mechanical engineering or related field. - Experience with consumer electronics. - Experience with mechanical design of plastic and metal components, printed circuit boards (PCB), and flexible printed circuits (FPC). - Experience with manufacturing. - Experience with NX CAD software.
