Role Description The BI Analyst plays a key role in delivering high-quality analytics, reporting, and data models that support decision-making across GP Strategies’ Corporate Services functions. This role focuses on executing against the organization’s BI strategy—building dashboards, performing data analysis, supporting data modelling work, and ensuring that reliable insights are available to stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, and data storytelling, along with an understanding of modern data platforms such as Databricks or Microsoft Fabric. This role does not set BI strategy or lead teams but instead delivers the analytics components that bring the BI vision to life. Qualifications - Track record of delivering BI solutions in complex organisations. - 2–4 years of experience delivering BI solutions in medium or large organizations. - Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities with the ability to influence and communicate effectively. - Experience translating business requirements into clear technical solutions. Requirements - Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports used by Corporate Services and other internal teams. - Translate business requirements into clear and actionable visualizations, ensuring insights are intuitive and meaningful. - Apply strong data modelling and DAX skills to create efficient, scalable, and performant reports. - Champion data-driven decision‑making across all functions. - Support the development of semantic models, curated datasets, and organised data layers aligned with enterprise standards. - Collaborate with data engineers and the Data Architect to validate data structures and ensure that models are accurate, well‑defined, and optimized. - Perform analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights. - Provide data-driven recommendations that help stakeholders improve performance, processes, and operational outcomes. - Validate data quality and troubleshoot discrepancies or reporting issues. - Lead the development of enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and management information reporting. - Own and maintain centralised semantic models, ensuring consistency and reusability across reports. - Apply strong data modelling and performance tuning to deliver high-quality analytics solutions. - Ensure dashboards meet stakeholder needs for clarity, insight, and usability. - Partner with business on the development and deployment of business intelligence dashboards, reports, and data products that enable leaders to make actionable, insight-driven decisions. - Ensure reporting solutions are accurate, timely, and aligned with enterprise performance metrics and transformation priorities. - Execute work aligned to the BI roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of dashboards, reports, and enhancements. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and manage tasks with attention to detail and follow-through. - Document technical specifications, data definitions, and report logic to ensure transparency and repeatability. - Champion effective change management practices to ensure adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working across the organisation. - Work directly with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide analytical support. - Partner with BI Leads, Data Architect, and IT teams to align work with broader data strategy and platform improvements. - Provide support and guidance to business users adopting self-service analytics capabilities. The role also supports Salesforce data integrity, reporting, dashboards, and user support as needed to improve sales reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
