What you will be doing: As an Operational Workforce Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for the short to long-term planning for Flight and Cabin Crew across our network. We are a fun and dedicated team responsible for delivering compliant and efficient rosters that align to business objectives. You will provide reliable and comprehensive analytics and insights that will support operational strategies. This role partners with Airline Operations, Crew Leaders and various stakeholders across the Virgin Australia business to influence strategic workforce planning and labour optimisation. Some of the exciting challenges in this role are; complex and high level problem solving, uncovering the 'why', providing data driven recommendations through resource planning, establishing and monitoring frontline staff KPI targets and costs, regulatory and industrial compliance, and fatigue management in a constantly changing environment. Reporting through to the Senior Analyst, Workforce Planning you will closely work with a team of analysts that are responsible for: - Analysing complex workforce planning initiatives, identify trends and recommend changes to meet operational requirements - Completing analysis on resourcing requirements while ensuring the best operational outcome - Accurate and timely reporting of Workforce Planning outcomes - Driving continuous improvement by applying innovative thinking to ensure business outcomes and efficiency. - Ensuring all documentation, checklists and procedures are up to date - Managing stakeholder engagement through accurate and timely data analysis You'll be great in this role if you have: - Bachelor's degree - Demonstrated experience in analytical techniques to examine and manage large data sets - High proficiency with Microsoft Suite in particular Excel - Ability to communicate data to a variety of stakeholders and tell meaningful stories - Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and prioritise tasks effectively - A strong ability to think outside the box - Proven team player with strong initiative and the ability to work independently - Familiarity with Power BI or a similar data visualization tool - Familiarity with programming Highly desirable but not essential: - Proficiency with Power BI report building including DAX and Power Query - Proficiency with Power Automate - Proficiency with Python Your Benefits & Beyond We're committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry - including (but not limited to): - Discounted flights for you and your loved ones (including $1000 worth of travel credits per year) - A flexible, hybrid work style.
