The IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) serves as a strategic partner between business units and IT, ensuring that technology investments are directly aligned to organizational priorities and measurable business outcomes. The BRM is expected to build trusted partnerships, anticipate needs, and drive value through a deep understanding of both the business domain and enterprise technology capabilities. In this role, you will partner closely with executive stakeholders to influence prioritization, optimize the portfolio of initiatives, and ensure that delivery efforts are aligned to agreed-upon outcomes. You will facilitate structured engagement through governance forums, lead demand intake and shaping processes, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to navigate complex, matrixed environments, and a focus on driving clarity, alignment, and accountability across teams. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking, operational discipline, and relationship leadership. You are comfortable operating at both the executive and delivery levels, connecting long-term vision with near-term execution. With a focus on value realization, continuous improvement, and organizational change, the BRM plays a critical role in advancing a product- and value stream-oriented mindset across the enterprise. This is a remote position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Lead projects and ensure proper approvals are gained by participating in key routines such as ACR completion, AERB, CCB and CCN reviews. - Serve as liaison between the operations and IT to document needs and wish list items related to top initiatives. - Serve as liaison between the operations and IT to document needs and wish list items related to top initiatives. - Partner with vendor and internal technical teams to gain estimates and establish timing expectations for projects and tasks specific to system enhancements. - Provide technical support as needed based on hot topics and customer feedback. - Lead discussions, gain operational buy in and launch initiatives to ensure continuous improvements and enhanced customer experiences for channels. Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Engage with business stakeholders to understand priorities, needs, and emerging issues. - Capture, track, and communicate demand, requests, and feedback between business and IT teams. - Coordinate with delivery, PMO, and Service teams to monitor project status and ensure alignment. - Manage and escalate risks, issues, and service concerns to appropriate channels. - Provide regular status updates, summaries, and insights to stakeholders. - Facilitate meetings, discussions, and follow-ups to drive progress and clarity. - Support shaping business needs into clear, actionable requests or requirements. - Ensure stakeholders are informed of key initiatives, impacts, and changes affecting the business. - Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce friction, and enhance engagement. - Act as a consistent point of focus to maintain alignment, transparency, and trust across teams. Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience - 7+ Years Required Skills and Education: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education. - 7 years of experience working across business and IT to support demand, communication, and delivery alignment. - Must be a US Citizen based on customer requirements. - Demonstrated experience in IT business relationship management or a closely related role. - Proven ability to act as a strategic partner between IT teams and business stakeholders. - Experience partnering with IT to deliver measurable business value. - Strong background in process improvement and optimization initiatives. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Strategic partnership with VP/C-suite stakeholders. Aligning IT initiatives to business outcomes and strategy. Managing demand intake, prioritization, and portfolio governance. Experience with Agile/SAFe and product/value stream delivery models Driving and facilitating QBRs or executive governance forums. Supporting financial planning, business cases, and ROI analysis. Strong executive communication and storytelling. Leading or supporting organizational change management (OCM). Using data and KPIs to drive decisions and value tracking. Navigating complex, matrixed organizations without direct authority.
