The Director will serve as a key commercial advisor to business unit leaders, program managers, and the executive team, owning the end-to-end pricing lifecycle from initiation through contract execution and portfolio performance monitoring. Key Responsibilities - Pricing Strategy & Architecture - Define and evolve the enterprise pricing framework across platforms, programs, and contract types. - Lead development of tactical and long-range pricing strategy, balancing revenue growth, margin expansion, and competitive positioning. - Build and maintain competitive pricing intelligence, win/loss analytics, and market benchmarking to inform strategic pricing decisions. - Partner with Finance to integrate cost modeling, inflation assumptions, and program risk. - Analytics & Decision Support - Design and maintain pricing analytics infrastructure including dashboards, KPIs, win rate tracking, and margin waterfall reporting. - Lead quantitative analysis of pricing decisions, including sensitivity analysis, scenario modeling, and elasticity assessments. - Develop and institutionalize price realization tracking. - Present pricing performance and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and program councils in a clear, decision-ready format. - Cross-Functional Leadership - Act as the central pricing authority across Business Development, Contracts, Finance, and Program Management — aligning stakeholders around a common commercial strategy. - Lead and mentor a team of pricing analysts, establishing professional development pathways and a culture of analytical rigor. - Partner with BD on major pursuits, providing analysis, competitive pricing guidance, and deal structuring support. - Interface with customers on pricing-related discussions, negotiations, and audits as required. - Tactical Execution - Oversee timely and accurate delivery of pricing inputs for proposals, RFPs, and sole-source negotiations across all contract vehicles. - Manage pricing calendars and escalation processes. - Drive continuous improvement in pricing tools, templates, and processes. - Provide proactive and strategic leadership to align internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring seamless execution of business initiatives. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. - 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial pricing and financial analysis within commercial aviation and industrial gas turbine engines. - Deep understanding of price-to-win methodology, competitive analysis frameworks, and total life-cycle cost modeling. - Strong proficiency in financial modeling. - Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority across BD, Contracts, Finance, and Operations. - Ability to demonstrate a strong business, commercial and strategy acumen with a global perspective. - Must demonstrate effective communication skills to present complex ideas in a compelling and comprehensive manner. - A relentless and versatile learner who is open to change and enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. - Must be willing and able to travel as required.
