Role Description We are building a first-of-its-kind ISV partner motion at MongoDB, and this role is a founding part of that effort. As Sr. Partner Manager for ISVs, you will own the identification, development, and scaling of partnerships with independent software vendors across two key categories: - Industry-specific ISVs building vertical applications in markets like financial services, healthcare, insurance, retail, and manufacturing - Horizontal AI-native ISVs developing platforms and tools that serve builders across industries This is a greenfield opportunity. You will help shape the program from the ground up, define how MongoDB goes to market with ISV partners, and build a repeatable playbook that scales. You will move from initial outreach and product-market fit validation through to field distribution and co-sell execution with MongoDB's sales organization. This role requires a rare combination of business development instinct, commercial acumen, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment. The position is remote and open to candidates located in New York City, NY. Qualifications - 6+ years in business development, partnerships, or ISV program management - Demonstrated experience managing complex partnership initiatives from sourcing through GTM execution - Understanding of how enterprise software is bought and sold - Ability to translate a technical integration into a field co-sell motion that generates pipeline - Technical aptitude to understand how ISVs build on data platforms - Strong communication skills with diverse audiences - Ability to build trust quickly with external partners and internal stakeholders Requirements - Identify, recruit, and activate high-potential ISV partners across both vertical and horizontal categories - Source and structure partnership agreements, define joint value propositions - Validate initial product-market fit with new ISV partners - Develop and execute partner GTM plans - Drive adoption and distribution of validated integrations - Manage ongoing partner success by tracking adoption and performance - Contribute to the design and evolution of MongoDB's ISV partner program - Build reusable assets such as partner playbooks and field guides - Partner closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, Marketing, and Legal teams - Maintain a deep understanding of the vertical SaaS and AI application landscape - Represent MongoDB at relevant industry events and conferences Success Measures - 3 Months: Develop a strong working knowledge of MongoDB's product, sales motion, and existing ecosystem. Identify and prioritize a first wave of ISV partner targets. - 6 Months: Activate initial ISV partnerships with defined joint value propositions and early co-sell plans. - 12 Months: Demonstrate measurable business impact through ISV partner-influenced pipeline and validated integrations. Director, ISV Partnerships
MongoDBMongoDB, originally called 10gen, is a software development company. Since 2007, MongoDB has created an open-source, document-oriented database to help clients
Role Description MongoDB is standing up a dedicated ISV Partnerships function, and this Director role is the leadership seat at the center of that effort. You will own the strategy and execution of MongoDB's ISV partner program across a team of partner managers, covering both industry-specific ISVs in verticals like financial services, healthcare, insurance, retail, and manufacturing, and horizontal AI-native ISVs building platforms and tools that serve builders across industries. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage from a distance. You will set the strategic direction for how MongoDB identifies, activates, and scales ISV partnerships, while staying close enough to the work to directly influence key relationships, shape partner agreements, and coach your team through complex deals. You will be expected to operate as a player-coach: intellectually involved in the most important partnerships, hands-on when the moment calls for it, and consistently raising the bar for what good looks like on your team. This is a greenfield program. You will have real ownership over how it is built, the methodology your team follows, how success is defined and measured, and how the function earns credibility with Sales, Product, and executive leadership. The opportunity is significant for the right leader. This role can be based remotely in the United States. What You'll Do - Strategy and Program Leadership - Define and own the strategic framework for MongoDB's ISV partner program, including segmentation across vertical and horizontal ISV categories, prioritization criteria, and the GTM approach for each partner tier. - Build and evolve the program infrastructure: onboarding processes, partner playbooks, co-sell frameworks, success metrics, and the internal operating model that connects ISV partnerships to MongoDB's revenue motion. - Set the vision for how ISV partnerships contribute to MongoDB's growth, and communicate that vision clearly to executive leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and your team. - Player-Coach Execution - Stay personally engaged in the most strategically important partner relationships, including leading or co-leading negotiations, shaping joint value propositions, and representing MongoDB in senior-level partner conversations. - Identify early signals of partnership potential or risk across your team's portfolio and step in directly when a deal or relationship needs senior attention. - Model the behavior you expect from your team, including intellectual rigor in partner evaluation, commercial discipline in deal structuring, and a bias toward outcomes over activity. - Team Development - Lead, develop, and retain a team of Partner Managers, providing strategic direction, deal coaching, and career development that helps each person grow into a stronger partnership professional. - Establish clear expectations for performance, build a culture of accountability, and create space for your team to do their best work without micromanagement. - Contribute to future team hiring and organizational design as the ISV program scales. - Cross-Functional Leadership - Build strong working relationships with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Pre-Sales leadership to align ISV partnership strategy with MongoDB's broader go-to-market priorities. - Serve as the internal advocate for the ISV partner motion, educating field sellers on how to co-sell with ISV partners and working with Product to influence the roadmap based on partner ecosystem needs. - Present program performance, strategic priorities, and resource needs to senior leadership on a regular basis. - Ecosystem Positioning - Maintain a sharp point of view on the evolving ISV landscape, including which vertical markets and AI-native platforms represent the highest-value partnership opportunities for MongoDB. - Represent MongoDB externally at industry events, partner summits, and customer conversations to build visibility and accelerate business development. Qualifications - 10+ years in partnerships, business development, or ISV program management, including at least four years managing a team of partnership professionals at a technology company. - Ability to think at a program and portfolio level while remaining credible and effective in individual partner conversations. - Experience as a player-coach, staying engaged in the work and bringing expertise to complex situations. - Experience building or significantly scaling a partner program, understanding foundational needs and sequencing work. - Commercially sophisticated with experience structuring complex partnership agreements and evaluating partner ROI. - Commitment to talent development, providing direct feedback and creating an environment for strong performers. - Strong executive communication skills, able to distill complex information into clear narratives for senior leadership. Success Measures - 3 Months: Develop a strong grasp of MongoDB's product, sales motion, and competitive position. Assess the existing state of ISV partnerships and opportunities. Establish working relationships with key internal stakeholders. Define initial program priorities and communicate them to your team and leadership. - 6 Months: Activate a first cohort of high-priority ISV partnerships with defined value propositions and early co-sell plans in motion. Establish team operating rhythm, performance expectations, and early program infrastructure. Begin demonstrating partner-influenced pipeline. - 12 Months: Deliver measurable business impact through ISV partner pipeline contribution, validated co-sell plays, and a growing set of active field relationships. Have a clear program framework in place with buy-in from Sales and Product leadership. Build and retain a high-performing team. Benefits - Equity participation in the employee stock purchase program. - Flexible paid time off. - 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave. - Fertility and adoption assistance. - 401(k) plan. - Mental health counseling. - Access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage. - Health benefits offerings.

Senior Staff Engineer, AMP
MongoDBMongoDB, originally called 10gen, is a software development company. Since 2007, MongoDB has created an open-source, document-oriented database to help clients
The Application Modernization Platform (AMP) team is tackling one of the industry's most critical challenges: leveraging Generative AI to transform rigid, legacy applications into modern, microservices-based architectures powered by MongoDB. We are building a comprehensive, SaaS-like platform, encompassing both the "brain" (multi-agent reasoning and orchestration) and the "hands" (the deployment platform and modernization toolset). This solution requires a robust platform foundation and infrastructure designed for a "build once, run anywhere" model, ensuring seamless operation regardless of a client's security or network constraints. A key challenge is balancing the need to tune our tools for each customer's unique tech stack and restrictive environments with making them easily extensible and scalable for common application modernization challenges. We seek an engineering leader for this high-visibility initiative. This role requires defining the high-level strategy and technical direction across all AMP engineering pillars, leading the execution of solving uniquely complex application modernization puzzles, and delivering an enterprise-grade product. The leader will minimize deployment friction, meet customer compliance requirements, and help shape the future of how global enterprises leverage GenAI. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who excels at leveraging GenAI capabilities, architecting complex distributed systems, and designing the orchestration agents necessary to reliably and fluidly run the entire software development lifecycle. This role will be based in North America's West Coast (PST), and offers a hybrid working model. The ideal candidate for this role will have - 10+ years of software development and operations experience, with a focus on building platforms and distributable software infrastructure - Deep experience in building data warehouses and core components for data processing systems - Have experience in using GenAI in building complex large-scale systems, and know what GenAI is best suited to do - Understanding of security-first design, specifically regarding the execution of untrusted code, fine-grain access control, and rigorous input validation - 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of engineers to achieve high-impact results - Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills and a strong desire to collaborate cross-functions - Excellent time and project management skills including the ability to make realistic assessments of project cost and complexity - Curiosity, a positive attitude, and a drive to continue learning, in particular building AI skillset Key Responsibilities - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement - Provide thought leadership, and execute AMP roadmaps to influence and shape the future of how global enterprises leverage GenAI - Lead the design and implementation of a sophisticated orchestration layer that manages authentication, telemetry, and the workflow of application modernization stages - Lead the team design and leverage GenAI to build reliable and scalable building blocks that are extendable and easy to assemble to an autonomous workflow - Collaborate with MongoDB product teams to ensure the modernized applications integrate seamlessly with customers’ database ecosystem - Act as a hands-on leader, guiding the team through technical challenges related to where and how to leverage GenAI to build the critical building blocks of application modernization toolset Success MeasuresWithin the first three months, you will have: - Fully ramped up on our architecture, business domain, and the specific constraints of deploying software to large enterprise client environments - Established yourself as the technical leader within the team, actively driving engineering strategy and key technical decisions - Begun collaborating with team leaders (TLs, managers) of AMP org and product counterparts on designing/improving the orchestration framework and the workflow components it manages - Developed a comprehensive grasp of all AMP pillars and their roadmap Within six months, you will have: - Influenced AMP product and engineering leads on key technical decisions, and set clear direction for the team - Successfully led the team to making substantial progress on the “big rock” deliverables and critical milestones of AMP product, enabling the team to smoothly land the planned roadmap - Owned and delivered some key pieces of AMP orchestration framework and the workflow components it manages - Served as a role model and strategic leader for the AMP org - Contributed to establish engineering excellence standards for the team, and began mentoring and providing technical guidance to team members Within 12 months, you will have: - Become recognized as the strategic engineering leader both within and outside of the AMP organization - Helped senior leadership (e.g., Directors/VP) on defining the technical strategy and roadmap for the future - Enabled the team to deliver a stable, production-ready platform that supports autonomous application modernization workflow for our Field Engineering teams - Drove the adoption of engineering excellence, making it a core tenet of the team's culture and operations - Contributed to the development of tech leads within the team, fostering growth opportunities.
