Associate Director and Counsel – Global Trade Investigations, Disclosures

• Investigate suspected violations of U.S. and non-U.S. export control laws and regulations. • Draft disclosures to U.S. and non-U.S. government agencies regarding violations of export control laws. • Manage an active investigative caseload using RTX’s matter management tool. • Work collaboratively with members of Collins Aerospace’s broader Global Trade team to identify the root causes of regulatory violations and to develop robust corrective actions. • Brief Corporate and Collins Aerospace leadership on the status of ongoing global trade investigations. • Document the closure of matters that do not give rise to a reasonable suspicion of a regulatory violation. • Respond to governmental inquiries and data requests. • Work with Collins Aerospace’s strategic business units to provide legal advice on export control laws and regulations, and propose compliant solutions to achieve business objectives. • Monitor and respond to developments in U.S. and foreign export control laws and provide legal guidance regarding such developments. • Assist in the development, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of Collins Aerospace and RTX policies, standard work, and processes for global trade compliance.
Job Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
- Possess and maintain an active bar license in the jurisdiction from which you will be working.
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience in Global Trade.
- In-depth knowledge of the EAR and ITAR.
- Juris Doctor Degree preferred
- A minimum of five years in a law firm handling export control matters and/or in a government agency charged with administering export control laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Extensive legal writing experience, including the ability to draft lengthy submissions in a clear, concise, and coherent manner under tight deadlines.
- Must be a strong leader and individual contributor, with excellent judgment and professional maturity.
- Prior aerospace & defense industry experience.
- Experience with non-U.S. export-control laws.
- Demonstrated ability to: Multi-task, manage, and prioritize multiple, competing deadlines and to quickly adjust to sudden and unexpected needs, including those occasionally requiring attention outside of normal business hours.
- Effectively and timely provide guidance to, partner with, and offer practical solutions to the business, including the ability to offer creative but compliant solutions to achieve desired business objectives.
- Confidently train stakeholders and present to senior management.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal daily supervision and to achieve outcomes in an environment of limited oversight.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment of rapidly changing demands, and to remain collegial in the face of disagreements and stakeholder resistance.

Role Description Tubi is adding a Director, Associate General Counsel-level attorney to our growing legal team. You will play a key role in structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements in support of Tubi’s Ad Sales and Growth business units, including: - Insertion orders - Measurement agreements - Programmatic partnership agreements - Data use agreements - Other commercial and technology agreements You will be working collaboratively with your fellow legal colleagues and cross-functionally with colleagues from many other teams across the organization, and will have a direct impact on our streaming service as we continue to grow and scale.
