Role Description Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Manager, that manages aspects of the planning, development, testing, implementation, data management, reporting and user support for our HRIS. This position works closely with the People & Culture Department. - Manage all aspects of the planning, development, testing, implementation, data management, customer reporting and user support for HRIS, including integration with other business applications like SAP, Active Directory, etc. - Identify and analyze root causes of issues impacting systems functionality and user experience through system testing and user feedback. - Recommend, evaluate, and implement business process improvements, technology solutions and/or updates to improve and enhance the system. - Lead the planning, execution and implementation of HRIS projects. - Plan and facilitate change management for HR systems within scope of responsibility. - Ensure the design, development and distribution of recurring and ad-hoc reports to facilitate insight and decision making by management and staff. - Supervise HRIS professional(s), including selection, development and performance management. - Identify training needs of end users, super users and system administrators. - Ensure the development of training content and facilitate the delivery of training and instructional support to facilitate user productivity in collaboration with internal and/or external resources. - Ensure the development of documents and manage shared business processes. - Prioritize business processes based on impact risk and importance to business operations. Qualifications - Seven (7) or more years of human resource information system administration experience required, preferably Workday; at least three (3) years of human resources management or business partner experience preferred. - Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited program, preferably in an Information Technology related field. - Master’s degree is preferred from an accredited program, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, Information Technology or a related field. - Advanced proficiency of the Workday platform, including HCM modules like benefits, time, payroll, recruiting, performance, and learning. - Extensive knowledge of information systems, data management and reporting. - Knowledge of HRIS functions, policies and processes. - Knowledge of labor laws, employment law guidelines & policies and compliance regulations. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing and delivering presentations. - Organizational, project and process management skills. - Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. - Strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking skills. - Ability to influence, coach, and collaborate with at all levels within the organization. - Exceptional people skills and experience providing counsel/feedback. - Strong consultative mindset and approach. - Able to occasionally travel by air and/or ground overnight, as necessary. - Ability to work remote in a positive and efficient manner.
