Job Description
Product Manager
Pratham International
Role Description We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Digital team to sit at the intersection of our program, AI, and analytics teams — translating educational goals and field realities into concrete product decisions, and technical capabilities into tools that work for children and communities on the ground. The Product Manager will own the product strategy and lifecycle for Pratham’s digital learning tools. This role is ideal for someone with deep product instincts who also cares deeply about education, social innovation, and the transformative potential of AI for underserved learners. It is a role for someone who does their best work in constraint — who can hold a product vision steady across multiple stakeholders, move from ambiguity to clarity, and measure whether what we built actually worked. Key Responsibilities - Own the problem definition process: synthesise field signals, program goals, and Pratham’s pedagogical principles into clear product opportunities. - Develop and maintain the product roadmap, making principled prioritization decisions that balance educational impact, technical feasibility, and organizational timelines. - Hold the product vision steady in a multi-funder environment, knowing when to absorb external input and when to protect core product integrity. - Write problem statements and solution briefs for AI, analytics, and software teams— serving as the connective tissue across functions that do not always speak the same language. - Collaborate with Pratham’s field implementation, technology, educational program teams and funder stakeholders, translating requirements into decisions the team can act on. - Champion responsible AI practices — including data privacy and age-appropriate design — in all products built for children. - Work closely with analytics, measurement and development teams from concept through launch and iteration. - Define and track products via quantitative methods, translating qualitative work into numbers to better assess feedback. - Technical skillset: comfortable picking up new tools quickly and able to use existing technology to independently build prototypes, dashboards, and feedback instruments — including designing and running A/B testing experiments — without waiting for engineering support. Qualifications - 5–8 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a product management role. - Demonstrated experience taking technical products from conception to launch, including the product vision, go-to strategy, and design discussions. - Ability to use current tools to prototype, build dashboards, and design feedback experiments independently. - Exceptional written and verbal communication. - Openness to work across 2-3 time zones in a day - with teams spread across India, the US, Africa and Latin America. Benefits - Impact at Scale: Your work will directly support the learning journeys of millions of children. - Innovation at the intersection of Education and Technology: Lead the charge in redefining learning and learning processes through technology. - A Culture of Growth and Evidence: You will have the autonomy to experiment with the latest SOTA models, supported by a 5-year strategic roadmap and funding from partners. - High-Calibre, Mission-Driven Team: Work alongside a global team of experts from institutions like MIT, Harvard, and INSEAD. - Inclusive and Collaborative Environment: Join a diverse team that spans Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Employment Details - Expected Start Date: Immediate - Location: India - Remuneration: Based on candidate’s experience and skillset
