Role Description This is a 'ServiceNow Product Manager' position, essentially owning the platform and acting as the interface between the business from a delivery perspective and the managed service provider from a support / development / strategy perspective. Typical responsibilities and skills would include: - Product Strategy & Vision - Define and own the product vision for specific ServiceNow domains (e.g. ITSM, CSM). - Align the platform roadmap with business strategy, customer needs, and organisational priorities. - Translate high‑level goals into clear product objectives, KPIs, and success measures. - Roadmap & Backlog Ownership - Own the product roadmap, balancing: - Technical debt - Platform upgrades - New capability development - Regulatory / security requirements - Maintain and prioritise the product backlog (epics, features, enhancements). - Stakeholder Management - Act as the primary interface between: - Business stakeholders - Service owners - Delivery teams (developers, admins, testers) - Run product forums, roadmap reviews, and prioritisation sessions. - Demand & Intake Management - Define and manage demand intake processes (ideas, enhancements, change requests). - Ensure consistency and transparency in prioritisation decisions. - Platform Governance & Standards - Ensure adherence to: - Platform design standards - Data model integrity - Naming conventions - Reuse and configuration-over-customisation principles - Guard against platform sprawl and unmanaged customisation. - Partner with architects on technical direction and guardrails. - Adoption & Enablement - Drive user adoption through: - Feature communication - Training and enablement plans - Feedback loops - Measure adoption and adjust roadmap accordingly. Qualifications - Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow architecture (single instance, scoped apps, update sets). - Configuration vs customisation best practice. - ACLs, roles, groups, and data security. - Integration patterns (REST, MID Server concepts). - Performance considerations and technical debt risks. - Experience with ServiceNow reporting and Platform Analytics. - Comfort translating metrics into business outcomes. - Understanding of data quality, imports, and CMDB health. Accelera Solutions is seeking a ServiceNow ITOM Architect in support of the Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS) contract with the Department of the Air Force. The EITaaS program supports our customer to provide a common set of required EIT services across 187 bases to implement a consistent, high-quality experience for users across all mission environments and enable USAF to transition focus from network operations to mission operations.
