Role Description GovCIO is currently hiring for Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Tier 2 Support, to provide advanced troubleshooting, system expertise, and operational support for complex issues from Tier 1. This role requires deep knowledge of IT application administration to support mission-critical customer environments. This role is a fully remote, U.S.-based position, with core hours of operation Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET. - Resolve complex incidents escalated from Tier 1 related to PCS PL applications, including Pharmacy namespaces, outpatient/inpatient pharmacy functions, and integrations with commercial drug databases such as First Databank (FDB). - Troubleshoot issues connected to OneVA Pharmacy, Park a Prescription, and outpatient medication processing, inpatient medication processing, drug file management, barcode medication administration (BCMA), state prescription monitoring program, CMOP processing, MOCHA order checks, and Inbound eRx. - Support VistA KIDS components and interfaces and maintain system integrations with dependent applications. - Collaborate with Tier 3, Engineering, DevOps, Product, and external vendors for root cause resolution and long-term fixes. - Create and maintain documentation including troubleshooting guides. - Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, stakeholders, and senior IT staff; prepare briefings and participate in technical discussions. - Provide mentorship and technical support to Tier 1 personnel, sharing knowledge and best practices. Qualifications - Bachelor's with 15 years (or commensurate experience).
