Senior Technical Writer

• Own and drive content for product areas or feature sets, from planning through delivery • Design and deliver in-product guidance, help content, and learning experiences (including Trailhead) • Create modular, reusable, and structured content that scales across surfaces • Partner with Product, Engineering, and UX to ensure content is accurate and ready at launch • Influence product and UX decisions through a strong customer perspective • Identify gaps in the customer journey and proactively design content solutions • Use data and feedback to improve content effectiveness and customer outcomes • Work within evolving content systems, including a transition from DITA/XML to docs-as-code (Git + Markdown) • Use AI tools to accelerate content creation and design content optimized for AI-driven experiences (search, assistants, and automation) • Contribute to and help evolve team standards, processes, and content models

Job Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience creating technical content for software products
  • Proven ability to design content for end-to-end user journeys, not just individual topics
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to make complex concepts clear and approachable
  • Ability to quickly learn and explain complex technologies
  • Experience working in structured authoring environments (DITA/XML preferred)
  • Familiarity with source control systems (Git, Perforce, or similar)
  • Openness to and interest in working with docs-as-code workflows (Git, Markdown)
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., LLMs) to improve content creation, editing, or scalability
  • Ability to think in systems and create content that is reusable, structured, and adaptable across surfaces
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience working in docs-as-code environments using Git-based workflows and Markdown
  • Experience designing content for in-product experiences or embedded help
  • Familiarity with content systems that support personalization, dynamic delivery, or AI-assisted experiences

Qualifications - Bachelor's with 15 years (or commensurate experience). Requirements - Proficiency with VistA Pharmacy namespaces and their interactions with core medication management workflows. - Hands-on experience with KIDS patching, VistA infrastructure, and cross-namespace dependency validation. - Familiarity with NCPDP SCRIPT standards (Inbound eRx) and supporting DSCSA regulatory updates and application changes across PCS Pharmacy systems. - Understanding of FDB-based drug interaction systems, MOCHA logic, PGx enhancements, and medication order checks. - Familiarity with AMPL-GUI communication workflows. - Experience with federal security policies, and PHI handling requirements. - Ability to interpret logs and message payloads in Vista pharmacy-related technologies. - Understanding information security policies and best practices for safeguarding systems and data. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce clear technical documentation, reports, and briefings. - Ability to collaborate effectively with Tier 1, Tier 3, engineering teams, developers, and external stakeholders to resolve issues and implement improvements. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, incidents, and priorities concurrently. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
