Program Manager, Strategy

Role Description At H&R Block, we are in search of people with bold ideas who want to make a difference and help transform the company. The Strategy Manager will play a key role in defining the growth agenda for H&R Block. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and execute on strategic projects and evaluate new growth opportunities. This role provides exposure to a range of senior business and functional leaders. - Develop insights and strategic perspectives on new opportunities, with a focus on digital innovation and business transformation. - Help build and scale new business initiatives by identifying and executing on high-potential opportunities. - Formulate and test hypotheses related to growth strategies, market opportunities, and customer needs. - Create data-driven recommendations for senior leadership, emphasizing performance improvement and long-term value creation. - Lead and contribute to multiple strategy projects, sometimes independently and sometimes by guiding cross-functional teams. - Partner with finance and analytics teams to conduct regular and ad-hoc analyses that support decision-making. - Facilitate strategic planning cycles, monitor key performance indicators, and support stakeholder workshops. - Build strong relationships across the organization to understand challenges from diverse perspectives and drive collaborative solutions. - Prepare for Board and Executive Team Meetings. - Analyze the competitive landscape and understand emerging threats and opportunities. Qualifications - 5+ years of total work experience, including at least 2 years of experience at a top-tier consulting firm and/or corporate strategy or growth role. - Experience leading cross-functional projects and/or navigating matrixed organizations. - The candidate will also be a real person, with a sense of humor, high emotional intelligence, and a passion for working with a diverse team. - Proven self-starter who is comfortable leading teams and driving outcomes in ambiguous environments. - Experience owning and managing relationships with executives. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
